Zeta just doesn't understand.

Zeta has So Cal and Samoa, that's a pretty good one too. Been going at it since Season 4 in AAA.

Old school OPL Zeta rivalry veteran here, and proud of it.

I just happen to be back in OPL via the Alpha side this time around.

The Dogs/Hood/Right have been battling it out since our inaugural season back in season 3 in Oceania AA #4.

If we wanted to get technical, Samoa/Rip City is probably the oldest rivalry in OPL Zeta -- it started in Season 1 in Oceania A. No numbers then, just Oceania A. It took a break for a few seasons until Rip City (then Portland) moved up.

Our oldest remaining rivalry is SoCal BDC. It started in AAA in season 2. Thats pretty much it for us now. All of our longtime rivals are gone. Sth Queensland, The Heat, MTD, etc....

Now I would say our biggest rivalries would be:

BDC
MUV
Samoa
they are the oldest remaining and we have some battles every time we play them.

Kingston has been added after last season

I personally have a little history with a couple of the more recently promoted teams in Alpha from when I owned the Cannibals, but there aren't many of the old-timers left in either conference. The Nites game is always a little more special because of the history (and it is probably possible to classify it as a rivalry since we've won a couple of times in recent seasons after they were our kryptonite for a long time). We were in AAA with the Gangsters and Kingston as well after you guys left and those guys are definitely a big rivalry game, as is MUV, especially after they took the Zeta crown last season.

Our oldest rival this season is actually the Port Moresby Demons though. We played for the first time back in season 1 in AAA. I wasn't with BDC yet for that game (my LB joined the team for the next game) but several current BDC starters including M. Anderson, J. Haber, R. Tompkins and D-Rock Powndorra were playing in that game. Looks like there are a couple of Demons still around from back then as well.

and yes, you guys are definitely a rivalry. We battle everytime. Both teams have had some very important wins over each other that has affected the seasons outcome.

Man, the Season 2 and 3 rivalries in AAA Zeta were awesome. I took over the SQC back in Season 1 and we played So Cal back in our 2nd last regular season game. Teams like Avondell Raiders, Dunedin Beavers and Port Moresby were all great rivals.

BPN were a great rival as well. We were the only team that beat them back in Season 2 (9-6 OT Thriller) and then they went over 2 seasons without losing another game.

Yup, we (PM Demons) have been kicking around Oceania AAA since late season 1. Just went back and looked at all of our previous seasons and love to see that some of the other teams we've faced early on are still around.

So Cal and SQC are 2 teams that I was happy to see move on up - what with my overall 1-9 record against the 2 of them! But, we're looking forward to sticking around here in O-Pro and seeing what we can do against all you.
