Ok guys...season 10 is upon us, so let's take a look at the GOW's...

The first week is always interesting.....Zeta vs Alpha

iue5 takes on the Tricity Cardinals, a newcomer to the league and Zeta, and probably has one of the most impressive rosters in the league.

The AREC takes on the Alpha conference Springville Renagades, another newcomer to O-AA#2, also a team with a very impressive roster, who also has a USA BBB league trophy...and there is no reason to think they are not expecting another one this season!

The veteran Alpha powerhouse, The Brisbane Barbarians take on Zeta newcomers, the Portland Crackers..who also sports a roster that is quite impressive. They don't have a trophy yet, but it sure looks like Portland is ready to get one this season.

The Rutgers Silent Willies, also a newbie to the league and also to Zeta conference, takes on Alpha conference powerhouse, The Easter Island Headhunters. This should be a great game!!!

And to finish it out, an old rivalry, The Endzone Warriors represent Zeta once again, against thier old foes The Growing Buds from the Alpha conference, which promises to be a great game as always!!!

Good luck to everyone, and let's have a fun season 10!!!!!!

Great game Springville!!! That was a hard fought game, too bad the 4th quarter isn't 20 minutes long!

FYI - EW has taken a season or two from competition. Our owner, GiantBucs, has been heavily bombarded with RL these past two seasons. So, we decided EW would take an extended break until things mellowed for him. It's bummer news, but life goes on. Most of our top threats have moved on to greener pastures, while EW sits in the wings helping a few of our other more competitive teams fill their rosters.

Sadly, gone are the days of playing tough matches against higher leveled and more competitive teams, many of them still here, or moved up to AAA. Our roster was always low, but I guess this is what happens when a group of RL friends assemble a team where a few players get into it hardcore, while the rest play a more casual role in meeting quasi-expectations. But our core nucleus have been driving the ship since S4, when several O A leagues were formed. We started out matched and out leveled by most teams, which has been our story, but those hardcore players kept EW afloat, until now.

Wish it were otherwise, especially considering EW's D has always been my pride and joy unit. Of all the multitude of defenses I've run since S3, from PL to Casual, EW's Defense typically ranked in the top 3 defensive categories of several Oceania league conferences during our run. Oh well.

Perhaps we'll meet on the gridiron someday. Until then, best of luck to all our rivals, old and new.

Game was a lot closer then the score,we had a lot of big plays which made the difference.Your backs are tough and people will find them hard to stop this season.
