I see it as a courtesy, not a requirement, that you inform an agent if you're trading his player. I would always inform them and most likely allow them to find their own trade or at least have a say in where they go. In this case, it sounds as though the owner had the player's best interests in mind, whether he informed him or not. Also, mightyjoey forgot to tell everyone that I only signed this guy last week and that he never even played one game. It was not like I traded my star player without a heads up. I did not even know who the hell I was trading. I keep saying this. I did not recognize his guy's name. all I saw was two offensive linemen for 1.5 million. Sounds good. Then, I get home from work and this stuff is on the boards, without a pm.
