I have two guards and two tackles and I was wondering what are the best AE to look for for the guards (right and left) and SA trees to focus on (running or passing) and the same for left and right tackles. Thanks in advance.

Pick custom equip for whichever tree would get you the most value, based on SP saved.
Remember, the value of adding custom to "8 protect" isn't worth 8->9 (5 SP) if you also have +4 because of AEQ on that piece. You could go from 4->5(3SP) to get that same increase
