Meh, I think the season 1'ers will hold there own for as long as they don't decline... This is the first I've heard of a non ability to boost. GLB is a cash cow... and all about cash. I honestly can't imagine them not allowing them to boost as that is their bread and butter. If they don't allow them to boost they may as well make them decline as they won't make the site any money.

Yeah this is why there is a growing concern with the longevity of the site. Because upon retirement 70% of invested flex will be refunded. So when the season 1 vets retire their players at the end of next season the wont have to buy flex ever again really. They can just use it to boost their current players......

True true... but I think most the users on this site don't know how to 'save'. They'll all just create more players with their flex and it will just continually grow. The only people that will re-invest their points were the little guys that weren't spending that much in the first place. Who knows... we'll see over the next 6 months anyway.

You don't get 100% flex back so at some point people will have to buy more.
Just try to keep a rotation with your players, spread evenly season-wise.

I'd like to see the 10 year rule switched to 15- more realistic of a football career lasting that long. Plus it would provide more time for players being more competitive...at that point lvl 60 players will be able to compete with lvl 80 players.

But, something would have to be done to fix the equipment problem- either make the equipment belong to the team or make the player responsible for his own (this would drive up salaries to a more realistic level).

On top of that, it would make Bort more money...

Realistically, I think it should depend on the player type - HB, OT, etc. HB's don't last as long as O-Linemen, for example.

Yea but just like in real life from year 10-15 you arent gonna be as good.... Past your prime etc..... So the way he has it I think works. Improve your first 10 seasons. Mantain for 2-3 and then decline.

Depends how you look at it...many people compare the lower levels of GLB to be like high school and the mid levels like college. If that's the thinking, then 4 yrs of HS, 4 yrs of college and then 7 more isn't that unthinkable...

Also, I read it that you improve for 10 seasons, maintain for 1 and then decline. Maybe the thinking is that the first season or two of decline will be slight, but it's still decline...

It's all speculation until it happens. I put 0 faith in the scuttle butt you find around the forums. Right now we know we're fine for another season... then we'll just see what happens.

I'm all for the never declining way of thinking. I'd like to see them reduce the amount you can boost after you hit level 10-15 though. Boost twice for a couple seasons, then once... and eventually not boosting at all and capping out on experience, but through it all your character never has declining stats. This would give everyone the chance to achieve the same level and keep your older players.

Think thats the point though. People dont want the same high level players in Pro to stay there neverending.....

Partly true. If you noticed it was 21-28 going into the 4th..and leading at the half...Not a bad stance against them.
