Boys and girls, this is the Darth Pinky AA finale. For at least one season, anyway. You never know what might happen in AAA. I could be rebounding back here in rapid fashion. Anything is possible.

And under the auspices of "anything is possible", let's review the conference finals. In both cases, the No. 2 seed came out victorious over the No. 1 seed.

Rundu Rhino Rush 27, Tar River Pirates 16 - In a stroke of genius, the Flush changed their normal offensive tune and went to the air, passing for over 300 yards and holding the Tar Babies' prolific rushing game to just over 100 yards. Most prominently, there were no sacks against and only one interception. Well done, gentlemen - scrapping the usual playbook doesn't always work out well.

Ghana Ashanti Empire 31, Quiçama Park Rangers 28 - The Rangers got down early thanks to a couple of defensive scores by the Imperial defense and couldn't quite recover. Their always-dangerous passing game did its damage, racking up over 400 yards, including two ridiculous length-of-the-field strikes that negated whatever "field position football" the Empire wanted to play. Still, even with the two Hardy Ketchum TDs, it was the Empire's pass defense that allowed for the early - and, in the end, insurmountable - lead.

And now that we have identified the two teams that have earned a promotion to AAA, let's take a peek at the final game of the season, the game for all the marbles and that treasured 75x75 gold icon.

Boys and girls, your Africa AA3 Championship Game:

Ghana Ashanti Empire vs. Rundu Rhino Rush - These Season 7 additions to AA have represented themselves well over three seasons, with the Empire making the playoffs each season and the Flush making it in Seasons 8 and 9 after starting in what was arguably a much tougher Elephant conference in Season 7. The Empire's previous claim to fame was as an amiable bridesmaid who could play with anyone but not necessarily win the bigguns; the Flush blitzed their way to back-to back seasons of 13 wins or more. Both teams are recognized to have excellent game tacticians (and honest, I keep telling y'all, it ain't me). This could be a great matchup.
Prediction: Someone will step up during Season 10 to make predictions, but for this final game, y'all will have to make your own.

Actually, I wish Noaheli and Cola Cock would have done their spreadsheet stuff, as I always thought those things brought a lot of objectivity and entertainment of a different vibe than the schtick I spread. Thanks for being a great audience, y'all.

Play nice. Pinky, out.

CONGRATS TO ERICMN AND THE EMPIRE!! You guys finally won something in the playoffs! After being the Dallas cowboys of AA#3, I'm glad to see such a great/respectable team finally get a trophy, and I see Ghana winning this matchup by 13. GO GHANA!

Especially considering how one sided the past few games have been between the LC playoff losers and the EC playoff losers.

Given that today the 8 Lion Conference playoff teams beat the 8 Elephant Conference playoff teams, mostly by large margins... yeah, I'd go with LC>EC at this point.

Well shit, I guess I shouldnt have been fucking around in the game today.
Trying a level 12 rushing QB, probably wasnt going to get great results.
