Finally!! All the regular season games are done and dusted..now we get down to the business end of the season, the playoffs!! Congrats on the 8 teams to make the Alpha playoffs for season 9. While I think some teams should possibly be ranked higher or lower in the playoffs - I believe the best 8 teams of Alpha made the post season!!

Lets have a look at the upcomming games..

Warsaw Warlocks (1) v Transylvania Vampire Bears (8)

Warlocks went 16-0, Bears went 10-6. On that stat alone you would consider the Warlocks to be hot favorites to take out this one. Well.. there is a reason why the Bears kept the Warlocks to their lowest wining margin all season, it is the opinion of the Warlocks camp that the Bears are the team in the playoffs to take out the Warlocks. Maybe not the championship but the Bears team is very suited to combating the Warlocks potent offense. Led by their star QB Champ Maximus and a very strong D the bears are certinally capable of causing an upset. But in saying that I'll never tip against my own team (Warlocks by 7)

Legal Smexies (4) v Lviv Lions (5)

All indications are that this will be a close game. Smexies will be looking to even up the score after going down to the Lions in regular season, and will now have a better understanding of how the Lions play. And with home field advantage plus a star studded offensive lineup featuring Quebee One at QB plus Mario Dillavechio and TRAYLOR TRASH at HB they are going to be hard to stop.

But for the Lions it's quite simple. Can the Smexies stop their running game? HB's Marcellus Idehi and DJ legend ran all over Smexies last time, and if the Smexies can't find a way to stop the Lions potent running game then we will probably see a repeat of the last game. To be truthful I think boulderdash has something up his sleve..which is why I'm going (Lions by 7)

Ares Assassins (2) v DC Squashers (7)

The Assassins have played strong all season, and deserve their no 2 spot in the playoffs. DC while having played well to make the playoffs probably are a season away from being a true contender. I see this game comming down to another question..can DC stop the Ares running game? Last time they played the Assassins ran all over DC, plus the Ares D did a great job of shuting down DC's excellent passing game.

Star Squashes DT Little Paul-Paul and the D-line need to step up and stop the Assassins hard running HB's Malicious Intent and John 117 aka "The Chief". While DC will give it a red hot go, I think the Assassins will take this one (Ares by 17)

Sevastopol Black Fleet (3) v Moscow Iron Curtain (6)

Black Fleet surprised me by finishing the season at no 3. Plus looking at their win/loss at no time where they blown away. They have shown the league that Sevastopol is a team that demands respect, and if you take them lightly you do so at your own peril.

Moscow on the other hand havn't has as good a season as I thought they would. Thet lost a couple of games I really thought they would win. But if you ask him I'm sure Slade would say, the playoffs are a whole different ball game. Moscow are very experienced and have been here before..

And they are going to need it - on paper Black Fleet are ahead of Moscow in all the important areas passing, rushing and pass and rush D. Moscow and Slade are going to have to come up with a strong game plan, that will help their CB's Jason Sehorn and Steven Porter shut down Black Fleets QB Chollie Ward and their star offense or they are going to be no chance of an upset. Even so I think Black Fleet will take this one, but it will be close (Black Fleet by 10)
