So much for the rankings correcting themselves.
I can tell you exactly what the problem is: opponent's record and opponent's opponents' record are weighted too heavily. It's one thing when it's used to sort out the 9-7 teams, and another entirely when it can't recognize that the two undefeated teams should be on top. It's too late to bother with a formula change for this season, but I'll make some adjustments during the offseason. Besides, the only rankings that really count are on the league page, amirite?
