Headed for the HOF might be an overstatement, however it certainly could have been possible. He was a very good player and his death was a big loss for the game as a whole.

he and i grew up in the same neighborhood in miami. It really was tragic to happen while he was protecting his family. I loved the way he played ball, never afraid of contact.
