I was actually considering this route. I have a degree from a major university. I could hop right on into officer training. Problem is, I have this thing about authority and questioning it...

Sorry to hear that man. Economy sucks and is hitting everyone hard. Just sucks that myself and my girl get laid off the same month. Not good on the bank account at all. Especially with a 4 and 5 year old.

yeah..been without a job for close to a year now.
6 years as a military firefighter, divorce and custody of children forced me to leave. Cant find a job either.

I like my job. Get to ride a truck/atv/gator around the forest all day long. Sucks when I have to clean the occasional portalet, but it's a small price to pay.
