The big Alpha game this week is 5 Torpedo Cowthorpe vs 4 Ingolstadt Hat Tossers. Zeta has 2 London Rippers vs 4 Italian Stallions. Can't say any kind of definitive favorite is peeking their head out yet. Zeta is especially zany. Regensburg loses, but keeps their #1 ranking. ECA jumped Heidelberg after their win over Cowthorpe.

I'll take the Tossers by a narrow margin and the Itallion Stallions by a somewhat larger margin, though not much...still probably single digits.

The Sharks and Manticores looks to be a good match up.

After seeing how well Torpedo plays in the 4th quarter I'll take the Tossers and the over.

My sentiments exactly!

That Torpedo/Ingolstadt game could either way...Tossers by a little or Tossers by a LOT, depending on how well they manage their turnovers. We unfortunately had 2 costly mistakes, a fumble and an INT, that may have contributed to the game being closer than it should have been. The Torps did a great job of pounding the rock and other than their 1 INT held onto the ball and managed the clock very well.

As for all of those fourth quarter points, I think ECA usually puts up most of their points in the 4th quarters of games, but I'd have to go look to be certain.

It's probably poor form to point out that Ingolstadt has never defeated the Torps -- not when they were both capped, not when the Torps "downgraded" some positions, not when the Torps gave up more turnovers than a pastry chef -- but I'll point it out anyway.

A 2-point margin sounds about right this time -- there's safety in numbers.

We spotted your excellent kicker 5 FGs and still won by 75. I think we got that monkey off our back.
