Season 9: Week 9 Half Way!
Well we all said that Luxembourg had to prove themselves, and they did just that. Still the game wasn't decided until a 4th quarter Punt return put the Lightning Bolts up for good. Something finally woke the Russian Strelets up, but unfortunately for them its too late in the season for it to do them any good. The Bottom 6 teams are pretty much out of the race for the playoffs, but the top 10 are all still in the hunt! The rankings remain the same for this week.

Coming of an important win, the Lightning Bolts will get to take it easy for the next 5 weeks or so, as none of the teams they face are going to be particularly challenging. Barcelona is the first of these games.

2. (2) Red River Ruminants vs. (9) Rome Ramblin' Thornites
Rome's 3 game winning streak is going to come to a screeching halt this week, as they face the Mighty Red River Ruminants. Triple R, just has too much talent for the Thornites to handle.

3. (4) Whitechapel Rippers vs. (14) Honolulu Wave Riders
Two home games in a row the Honolulu Wave Riders have had to face a tough team from London. Two weeks ago they were roughed up by the London Olympians. This week they will be left bloody and battered by the Rippers.

4. (4) October Wildfire vs. (11) Mile High Hitmen
The Hitmen have been on a slide and the slope just gets steeper. The Mile High team will be lucky if anything is left of their team after the Wildfire burn them down.

5. (5) London Olympians vs. (16) St. George Javalinas
I am quickly running out of pithy ways of saying the Javalinas are going to loose. Fortunately this one is an easy one. The Olympians will have no trouble tossing the Javalinas out of The Crystal Palace NSC.

6. (8) Glasgow Cats vs. (10) Leipzig Lions
The Glasgow Cats continue to improve on both ends of the ball, while the Leipzig Lions seem to have a lost a step or two in their last few games. I expect they will put on a better performance this week, but it is the Glasgow Cats should be the winners of this "Pride Match".

7. (7) Flint Hobo vs. (8) Reading Armed Centaurs
The Hobo have had to face 3 tough contests in a row, and this week their backs are against the wall. The Reading Armed Centaurs are hosting the match which looks to be the best one of the week. It should be close but I think the Hobo's will bum rush the Centaurs and pull out a win.

8. (13) Arlington Sandlot vs. (15) Russian Strelets
Neither team will be making the playoffs this season, but that won't stop them from going at it full force. The Russian team woke up last week and humbled the already humble Wave Riders, and will test Arlington. I think Arlington will win the match in a close game.
