Nizhny Vets really shook up the playoff picture with their upset. Now we have a situation where the Pirates, the Piggies, the Tiges, and the Vets are all in "likely" control of their own destiny. Likely control means that other games falls as they are supposed to fall. For instance, the Baggers are truly in control of their own destiny, but they have a tough game vs Stalingrad Gryphon Army. The Army is heavily favored and likely to win. So the four teams mentioned earlier have likely control of their own destiny. They win they are in. One game that is likely to garner interest is the Vets final game of the season against a very game Amsterdam Dirty Dozen. A loss there would drop the vets into a very complicated tie breaker. In all but one of the tie breaker scenarios, the playoff team will be chosen by points scored, and since the baggers have put up 170 points in the last two games, they will likely advance. If, however, the tie breaker should happen to involve the Baggers, the Vets, the Piggies, and the Salukis, then the head to head tie breaker will decide in favor of the Salukis and the Vets. Then those two teams would be decided by points scored. The Salukis currently have 213 with a sagging offense and two weak teams left on the schedule. The Vets aren't far behind with 200 points and two very easy teams left on the schedule. So it could come down to who can run up the most points with the Salukis getting a 14 point headstart.

EDIT: I heard from Bort, the sorting algorithm is very simple. sort the team by head to head wins, then by points scored.

As of now I am predicting that the playoffs will consist of
Stalingrad Griffon Army
Lafayette Ragin Cajuns
Krakow Outlaws
Windy City Bears
Budapest Tigers
Austin Pirates
San Jose Baggers
Nihnzy Norvogrod Vets

There you have it folks. Your Bagger Sports Playoff Breakdown.

#1- Stalingrad Gryphon Army
#2- Lafayette Ragin Cajuns
#3- Krakow Outlaws
#4- Windy City Bears
#5- Austin Pirates
#6- Budapest Tigers
#7- Samara Salukis
#8- Nizhny Novgorod Vetz

Like you said... Demoniak, San Jose, Nizhny, and Samara all finish with a 9-7 record.

Head to head
Samara- 2-1 (213)
Nizhny- 2-1 (200)
San Jose- 1-2 (407)
Demoniak- 1-2 (347)

I hope I'm wrong though... playoffs are useless if you're not a top 4 seed and my guys could use the rest.

It will be interesting to see how Combat does in their next two games. Top team in each division. If they win even one, gotta give them all the props and acknowledge they are a definite force. If they lose both, they will likely be playing Prague again in a 1 vs 8 matchup.

1. Prague. 15-1. 2 home games left, a tough one against Combat, then the unknown Palermo.
2. BHB. 13-3. Have tiebreaker against ADD. Am looking forward to seeing the game vs. LRC.
3. ADD. 13-3. Lost to BHB, giving BHB #2 seed. Two tough games vs. DET and Nizhny may decide whether they get homes games. I'm giving them two wins...we'll see.
4. Kiev. 12-4. Two relatively easy games remaining. Have a win against GCP for tiebreaker if GCP can go 2-0 in last two games.
5. Detroit. 11-5. Expect them to lose a tough one against ADD. Have tiebreaker against GCP, giving them the #5 seed.
6. GCP. 11-5. Albuquerque should be a win. Austin will be an interesting game. They are an unknown, so GCP could be #5 seed with a win vs. Austin, or #6 if they lose the game.
7. Combat. 9-7. Good team, but won't beat the two number 1 teams in each division. Very unfair finishing schedule for them. They'll get a chance to show how good they can be in the next 3 weeks.
8. Dnipropetrovsk. 9-7. Win vs. Lowell, loss vs. Piggies. Will be a challenge for the Monarchs in the the first round of the playoffs.

OUT of playoffs:

9. ATL. 8-8. ATL looked like one of the teams to beat early in the year, but then hit a rough patch of tough teams, and couldn't find a victory in there that could get them into the playoffs. Loss to BHB and win at Elancourt to finish their season. Will come back strong next year.
10. Wisla. 7-9. They still have SOME players left. If their defense can hold up, then can win the next two vs. UFA and Rostov. The UFA game will be very good to watch for a game with two non playoff teams.
11. Bratislava. 5-11. I believe this team is better than its record, and just had a bad season. They will be RUN and lose to WCB. Have tiebreaker against Minsk.
12. Minsk. 5-11. Another somewhat underrated team with a subpar year. Tough games vs Kiev and the Baggers will be losses.
13. UFA. 3-13. They have a chance to win their last two, but they won't. I think they will be surprising some teams next year. They hold the tiebreaker over RUN in case RUN wins against Bratislava.
14. RUN. 2-14. They are getting better, but still not their yet. They have the tiebreaker with a week 3 win over the Regulators.
15. REG. 2-14. Still recovering from their unfortunate gutting and selling by the former owner. Doing a solid job of trying to rebuild. I believe they will become a force again sooner rather than later.
16. LBT. 1-15. They continue to improve as the season progresses. When they get relegated, they will have a chance to prove they are a solid team. Fiddy has done a great job working this team. He's going to be a great owner if he continues to work with it.

To be honest with you, I think this league will just be MORE competitive next season. I also can't wait to see how teams like REG and LBT do next season in AA.
