figured we could use some reading material other than TC's posts that usually go about 80 replies long. so, without further ado, here are my Zeta predictions for Week 7...
Transylvania Terror at New Jersey Mafia
#1 at #4 - this might be the Terror's toughest matchup since a Week 3 showdown with Macedonia. Transylvania is undefeated going into this one, but in Week 5 Caspian may have delivered the blueprint for beating the Terror. The Mafia, meanwhile, head into the game with their only loss to the best team in Alpha.
Prediction: Mafia 38-21
Ukrainian Warheads at Constantinople Romans
The Warheads are a far cry from their 14 win Season 7. They've lost two in a row, and that probably won't stop when they face off against Zeta's top team.
Prediction: Romans 65-14
Macedonia Marauders at Belgrade Blaze
After two straight losses to the Terror and Mafia, Macedonia has been on a rampage, destroying their last two opponents by a combined score of 351-14. Belgrade currently sits in the #3 spot in Zeta, and has 4 players in MVP contention. Can they pull Belgrade to a win over a surging Macedonia club?
Prediction: Blaze 34-24
Draguignan Dragons 83 at Kiev Cossacks
D83 is another team that hasn't quite adjusted to life in EEAA. After 13 regular season wins in Season 6 sent them up to AA, the Dragons haven't returned to the playoffs. The Cossacks have also stumbled a bit out of the gates - 2 early losses isn't bad at all, but not what Kiev is used to after going through an undefeated regular season in S8.
Prediction: Cossacks 30-17
Terlingua Javelinas at Spokane River Rats
Terlingua and Spokane are both somewhat a mystery, as some were calling for them to be top contenders in Zeta. However, neither team has been able to get a win against other conference heavyweights. A loss in this game could put either team's back to the wall in the race to the playoffs.
Prediction: Javs 34-31
Caspian Sea Dragons at Chernobyl Nuclear Assault
Caspian has been a little streaky, and Chernobyl has been somewhat of a meltdown. The Sea Dragons need to take advantage of this game if they want to be in the hunt for a playoff spot.
Prediction: Sea Dragons 64-14
