My teams QB got an endorsement.
Saw that after I started the topic - I think your QB benefited by the fact that a lot of the better (statistically and fame points) are transfers from other leagues. I looked at a lot of the QBs and your team's QB pales in comparison. I researched and found that endorsements are handed out at the end of a season - which means that no players from teams transferred into the league can get an endorsement.
FAQ Excerpt:
What does fame get me?
Certain veteran abilities require a minimum fame level to unlock, higher amounts of fame will raise your minimum salary requirement, and at the end of each season, players at each position in each league will be offered endorsement deals. Higher fame increases your chances of getting an endorsement deal.
Endorsement deals? What's up with that?
At the end of each season, sponsors will award endorsement deals via a sort of lottery to one player in each position for each league. The size and type of deal depends on what level the league is, and the player must be within the league's recommended levels to be eligable. Players with higher fame earned from that league that season get more "chances" in the lottery to be selected, but it's not a guarantee!
FAIL!! We were promoted into this league this season as well. So there goes that theory.
IT'S A LOTTERY....Get over it. After week 8, new endorsements go out. Maybe the gods will shine their love down on you.
Obviously I didn't pay attention on your teams promotion.
First - Then Bort and company need to update the FAQ. Since that's what I based my answer on.
Second - Don't care if Clefford gets an endorsement - I was just commenting on something I noticed and thought was unusual.
Third - Your QB obviously hit the lottery big time if FAME is a factor since his is like the lowest of the 12 - 15 QB's in this league that I took a peek at.
