Well boys and girls, after a long hiatus, it's back. I finally found some time between final projects and class to get a write up going for this week! We have probably the game of the year coming up in this young season. Also a couple of other games that should make this week interesting. So here it is, without further ado.... Your Week 6 Preview!!!!

(Disclaimer: This writeup is only for entertainment purposes, if you do not like what is written, then put up or shut up!!! )

Palermo Don's (0-5) @ Ithaca Space Munkees (0-5)
Someone's winless streak will end this week, as these two clubs get to finally get an even matchup. So far Palermo's defense has not been able to slow anyone down, and this might be their first chance to hold someone under 249. Is Ithaca's record deceiving? They have been in every game and have played a pretty tough schedule so far. I think Ithaca is much better than their record, and will prove it this week.
Ithaca over Palermo (-50+)

Reading Football Club (1-4) @ Grim Reapers (2-3)
This again should be an interesting match up, as these teams both have some tough losses on their plate so far. Grim's two wins are against the winless teams in the conference, but they have battled in every game. They will rely on their 2 QB system of QB's Johnny Divideus and Catchthis & PaintitGreen to move their offense. Reading is coming off a heartbreaking one point loss and a chance to had Cork City their first loss. They look to rebound against the Reapers. In the end this one might come down to team chemistry where Grim has a big advantage.
Grim over Reading. (-2)

Basin City Blues (3-2) @ Clydesdale Colts (1-4)
Basin City and stud RB Tyler Branson take the field in Clydesdale trying to get a streak going against the Colts. They have won the last 4 matchups against the Colts (Seasons 4-7) and look to keep that ball rolling. Their only losses on the season are to Alpha leading Kilkenny, and 1 loss Dresden of Zeta. The Colts are still looking for their first win against an Alpha opponent, but I just don't think this is going to be the week that happens.
Blues over Colts (-50+)

Spaniard Warriors (2-3) @ Cork City Wildcats (5-0)
Cork City puts their undefeated record on the line against the Warriors, who bring in MVP leading LB Oscar Elguezabal to try and slow down their offense. Although their early schedule has lacked a punch, Cork City has done everything asked of them, but had to squeak out a one point win last week against Reading, they may have shown a dent in the Armor. The Warriors are hoping to capitalize, and give CC their first defeat of the season. I think they come close but in the end, fall just shorts.
Wildcats over Warrirors (-2)

London Underground (2-3) @ Glastonbury Knights (3-2)
One of the top QB's in the league, Billy Kilmer, and his Knights, try to defend their castle against the Underground. Both have had their share of ups and downs this season. The Knights are coming off of a tough loss to Basin City, while the Underground bring in a 2 game win streak to The Knight Club. The Underground will count on RB John "Diesel" Riggins to keep the Knights offense off the field. In the end, I think this comes down to who's defense shows up.
Knights over Underground (-7)

Helsinki Coyotes (3-2) @ Quazi Phantoms (3-2)
The Phantoms are trying to recover from their resent 2 game skid, and welcome the Coyotes for this week 6 matchup. The Coyotes bring a dynamic offense which has scored at least 38 points every week, led by QB Havoc Heever, and will try to outscore the Phantoms. Can the Phantoms offense score enough to keep up with the Coyotes, or will their defense just be run into the ground. If no one else has slowed them down, I don't see it happening now.
Coyotes over Phantoms (-14)

Bow Street Runners (3-2) @ Belfast Brawlers (4-1)
Another very interesting matchup this week, as the Runners try to recover from their tough loss last week to the Bloodsuckers, and catch the Brawlers in the standings. This game features two of the conference's best in Belfast QB Indigo. Montoya and Bow Street RB Marco Wanderlei. Which player can carry his team to victory in this very close matchup. In the end, I think the much better tested Runners, are going to come out on top.
Runners over Brawlers (-4)

GAME OF THE WEEK!

Kilkenny Cannibals (5-0) @ Transylvania Bloodsuckers (5-0)
The whole league watches, as two of the top teams in conference battle it out to take over the #1 spot in Alpha. The three headed rushing attack of the Cannibal offense, RB's Nick Baskerville, Brad Theisen, and T-Dawg Swivelhips look to take it to the Bloodsucker defense, who may have one of the best front 7 in the league, led by LB Bobby Steel. The battle that is going to decide this game however, is the very balanced Transylvania offense against another very good unit, in the Kilkenny defense. They will have to score in few chances since the Kilkenny rushing attack will keep them off of the field.

Line - Even

Great game Coker and Co. Didn't expect us to get out to that big a lead early, but your defense really stepped it up and made it close in the end.

I can't believe we missed that chip shot FG in the first half. That would've made it a 1 pt lead instead of 4 in the last 2 minute drill and would've been real interesting with a 50 yarder for the win. Like I said earlier though... I'm hoping for a rematch.

GG as usual.
