The Odyssey has begun - as of right now I picture 12 contenders for playoff spots , 2 CPU teams and 2 teams that are still building.
So below are my rankings, in reverse with a tid bit of commentary.
12. Iberian Bocs - I know Flanders is improved from previous seasons models but if you can't beat Flanders, are you a playoff team?

11. The Hague Pirates - Phinneaus Ferguson brutalized the Blitzkrieg with an all day pressure attack that left the Pirates plundering Berlin in a lopsided victory on opening day.
Next Up: Red Star, Crabs, Bakers
10. Hollywood Knights - It's not the loss to the Demons that really concerns me, it's the lopsided nature. 51-13? The Demons are good but are they that good? Hollywood gave up 200+ on the ground and 300+ through the air, in other words everything worked against them, makes you wonder....

9. Parts Unknown - Disappointing loss to the MOB, very disappointing. Runningback Sandman looked confused as to which side of the field he was supposed to be running on and Horatio Hornblower seemed to have spent too much of the offseason at sea to be effective, its bounce back or early season bust time.

8. Orange County Gremlins - Grab your grandmother and drive a Gremlin. The Gremlins hung out the Men-O-War and just plain embarassed them. Shotgun Willy started the season off just as he did last season with a big Huge day, the question is will he be able to finish the season that way?

7. Helsinki Crabs - Tremendous respect to Gorgeous G but I can't give him any love for blowing out the Stormtroopers. Still they let Doug Flutie take the league lead for thrown touchdowns so it wasn't that bad.

6. Vatican City Apocolypse - Blew an early lead and then just got flat out housed, could be in for some real trouble if they plan to average 5 fumbles a game this newcomer could plummit faster than shares in AIG.
UP NexT: Angels, Red Star, Crabs
5. New Jersey Crocs - Still cardiac and one of the few Zeta teams to notch up a quality win. When you see 500 yards passing against an opponent you expect it to be against a gut job or scrub team not a quality opponent like the Stallions.

3(T). Miscelonia Manlets - Last season they were the first team to get to 60 overall in the conference, this year they are the first to 63, still it didn't always translate well. Though in this first game it translated to 350 Yards of rushing offense, when you do that you control the clock and own the game.

3(T). Warsaw Wolves - I left us tied with the Manlets they beat us last season so I'm tempted to give them a slight edge in this weeks matchup. That being said last season the Manlets started slow and the Wolves hot which seems to be in the perennial charachter of both teams, so I just called it a push and well see in 24 hours.

2. Chuck Norris Roundhouse Kicks to the Face - The leagues biggest talkers got quitted down a bit at the end of last season. Still they have to be thinking that this is their year a bulldozing of the Bulldozers started them off nicely.

1. Bergen Ops Zoom Sneaky Buffalo - Chuck has the levels BOZ has the builds, still one always has to watch BOZ early in the season as they enjoy starting slow, given their early season schedule though Im just not sure thats possible.
