VA's were introduced as a way to keep people interested in the game at higher levels. To give them something more to do and a reason to log in more since they only need to log in twice a season to apply sp's. This is also the same reason why training isn't automatic anymore. To give high level players more incentive to stay active.

Call the VA's a crutch for shitty builds all you want. But if the builds were that shitty and yours was that great, then it would of leveled out and gameplanning would of won. Please stop your whining and excuse making.

The Raptors had a good run from season 6 to now. Able to add 14 sections, expand all of the seats, win 1 league championship in A (roughly 8 quality teams in the league - probably on par with the Smexies), promote up to AA, lose only 2 regular season games (only 1 real gimme game during the season, maybe 2 - all teams with similar scouting bars - in my opinion, 8 of the alpha conference teams would have handled Smexies relatively easily), lose in the conference finals to the eventual league champion, and now in AAA with a fully expanded stadium.

I say the main things that contributed to the success was depth of team with relatively good builds, very good tactics, agents with a team focus, and utilize the trading system to send lower level players on your team to better playing time situations and utilizing your own players to trade off to build up the cash needed for stadium expansion and teammate equipment needs.

AAA is going to be real tough - once again, scouting bars are similar, but it looks like the game planning is another notch up.

I think it's funny that they are in BBB...yet they still come in A to try and ruin threads. What they don't realize is we all find them hilarious and lame now.

As I said, not going to knock your accomplishment- and you're one of the few CYs I have respect for. I also know it was tough to do and isn't easy to recruit, gameplan, and win when you receive a gutted team in an uncapped A league. But MITH pointing out that it has been done still doesn't make it "easy" or "simple". Your Season 6 looks similar to ours, you pulled it off in Season 7 and beyond, which is great.

Eh, I did for a bit but then I decided to just let them be. Some of the folks on CY are decent so don't want to trash all the agents.
