Warrior General Games

So, I have thought long and hard about this. The game has become essentially a grind for me. I have gotten tired of scouting other teams (even though I have little to no time to do so), only to find that I end up running the same 2 plays from the last game. While defense still throws a nice mix into things, it isn't enough to keep me from making this decision. The sim has gotten tweaked and fixed so much that I feel like the last two seasons have been a guard rail to guard rail scenario, and my ability to want to deal with that has hit a wall. The other piece of this is my personal life has been enveloped by my change of jobs at Dell due to the economy (more responsibility, more hours worked, less pay). I simply haven't been able to give the attention the team deserves from a scouting and gameplanning perspective. Finally, the most important piece of this is the game has gotten stale. The fun and enjoyment is gone. It is for these reasons that I have decided to disband the Longhorn Legion. What does that mean exactly? Well, I am going to dump all the players, HOWEVER, am NOT selling the team.

I want to thank all the owners/gms/players that I have built some great rivalries with over the past 6 seasons. TIB, KPStanley, Tux, Hix, Narc, Lions, Torr, adojay, colix, Awhite, rickey, and anyone else I failed to mention. I hope in seasons to come the game will either return to its previous form (unlikely) or hopefully BORT will take it to new heights.

I think not selling is a good move tbh. If/when yer ready to give it another go you'll be starting out with a completed stadium and an asston of cash.

Wow, a powerhouse will be gone. I heard that the Hippos will be gone shortly too. Good luck to you Argos!

that was kinda my thought. i will still have a few active players so i will be on, but it at least gives me an ownership break plus i am going to be making some fun creative players just for the hell of it until i am ready to go back to ownership.

i appreciate all the kind words and IMs from everyone. i hope to get back to kicking yer asses in 3 or 4 season heh

I completely understand and support the decision. When you decide to come back send me a PM and I will see about bring some players over to help rebuild.

Almost brought a tear to my eye... Good Luck guys! I guess everyone is getting tired of this game.

Best of luck. I know we haven't been around very long, but it is sad to see we are losing some of the top teams in the league.

Also, if any of you guys that are closing up shop want to join the Owls we will bring you in. I know 5-11 might not be the most enticing, but we are getting better every day.
