Just 3 days after being removed from the playoffs in an embarrasing fashion, the spartans have upgraded there team in order to make a strong run and hopefully go deep into the playoffs next season.
Spartan representatives were unavailable for comment this afternoon, but league sources early this morning mentioned the possiblitiy of a huge offseason move that was made early do to another team losing in the playoffs.
League sources say that Willm's clients have all signed with the Wildcat Spartans as of 12:04pm April 2nd.
The news brings excitement to the Spartan orginization, as each of his clients are at the top of their game, and ready to make an immediate impact with the team.
Former Africa AA League MVP Austin Mceuen was reached for comment.
GLB:Austin, it seems like a downgrade after leaving the Africa Pro League, what made you decide to sign with the Spartans?
Austin: I have been with the same team for 4 seasons, and before that was with my agent's team. I was ready to move to a team that wa looking to rebuild, and make a slow but steady move to the top of it's league. This Spartans team is very close nit, and a strong desire to win, and with myself and my teamates that are joining me, we should make a strong and hopefully deep push not only into the playoffs, but hopefully to a conference and league championship!
GLB:What are your goals for the season?
Austin: Simple...WINNING! I have never been on a losing team, or a non playoff team, so that is always first priority. My second priority, is to make a name for my self in the Western Europe leagues as I have in the Africa League!
GLB: There seemed to be a strong push from a lot of africa teams hoping to sign you and some of your teamates, any reason you chose not to stay with any of them?
Austin: I wanted a new beginning, and I wanted to stay close with my team as possible! We are a force together, and plan to be. Watch out Western Europe!
We'll this is definately a head start in offseason recruiting for the Spartans, who not only filled all there holes, but did so with perenial pro league pro bowlers, a league mvp, 2 time offensive mvp and league defensive mvp. This team is definately going to be moving up the power rankings!
