It's lame because......

1. It's unfortunate to see such a quality opponent go away.

2. Merging will potentially give some team that hasn't necessarily put forth the recruiting effort an unfair advantage. Not like I'm saying it shouldn't be allowed! I just feel this could hurt MY team.

3. I got the initial impression that the "merger" could possibly impact the remaining playoff games. THIS would piss me off, as any of the 4 remaining teams that would work a deal to add a bunch of players from 1 team in time to all play in the playoffs would be fucked up. I honestly don't like the idea that a team can sign mercenaries during the playoffs. Go with what got you there is my motto.

So fuck off to the guy that says "don't post if you got nothing to add" or whatever. My original comment was slightly tongue-in-cheek and not negative in the least.

And just for the record, Padang is NOT interested in any merger talk. Not that I wouldn't like some of Karawang's players (hypothetically). We've just had the same bunch of agents for our entire existence and I have a problem getting rid of guys just to bring in higher levels. That is all.

P.S. I don't care if "This is lame" is not considered a "good take". Rome is a moron (though occasionally funny). The calls on that show give sports radio a bad name.

It's funny you brought up Rome at the end cause your post was similar to an interview he had with Alonzo Morning. That being said I know any talks of a merger involving the Hellfighters and Chimaeras would not affect these playoffs they would occur after the season. Last although I can do without some of his shit Van Smack is the man when it comes to sports talk radio period. You know JT the Brick actually ended up getting a radio show after year's earlier winning the "Smack Off"? That should tell you right there sports talk radio wise Rome is in another stratosphere. Seriously the callers making the calls you mentioned are actually getting their own shows.

Can you even sign players during the play-offs? At the very least they'd have to sit out the first game right?

Unless they're free agents, I believe. Could be mistaken.

Yeah I know all about JT the Brick. He annoys the shit outta me, but I like that he takes calls and avoids "topic radio". Rome was great for a while, but his shtick is played. I don't listen too often anymore, but when I do I just usually have no clue what the hell he's talking about. Usually it's random strings or noises and soundbites. Whatever I guess.

I used to hate Rome honestly but he grew on me.... I just don't really think it gets much better sports talk radio wise. I am very big on Dan Patrick though as well..

All valid points. I would have liked to have merged just because it makes things easier. It is not a black and white concept and could go either way.

It was meant to be sarcastic. They sort of merged with Winona and effectively became the AAA/Pro team and the AA team like youre suggesting.

We also had a BBB and an A team till it all fell apart.

The best idea would have been to take the whole league and combine into one Super Team.

That is exactly how I feel too...

EDIT - And just for the record, Stucknut did not MERGE with Winona... we took a few of there players (6?), half of which were BACKUPS to keep our epic bro-lationship in tact. The rest retired or moved on to other teams.

Not really a merger at all...
