I want a GAME that I can enjoy, otherwise I'm paying money to talk on a forum...isn't Twitter something like that, and it's free? If people can figure out one play to run, and do just that...why even play?
One thing I can say, is that it took the developers of Madden 4 years to tone down the effectiveness of Pro Set, Off Tackle(anyone remember that, or am I alone on this one?lol). From 1993-1997, all you had to do was have a decent running back, select that play over and over, and score 90 points per game. Didn't need to even be able to play defense, just be able to hold down speed burst, and drop your shoulder once in a while. Then from 2004-2006, all you had to do was trade for Randy Moss(or another fast receiver who could jump, but he was the most effective) and throw fly-route lob-passes all day. They eventually fixed that. I am giving Bort a little leniency because GLB just hit its' first full "year", and we're about 10 seasons into it. He's had some seriously misguided changes in the past though, and if that doesn't change, then the leniency's gotta go.
Overall, I can't say that I'm displeased with my total GLB experience, but it's wearing on me. I'm not longer going to put close to 100 dollars per month into a game that I'm not enjoying as much as I should for that money, not to mention the time I'm putting into running a team and DC'ing another. Time is my most precious commodity(and should be everyone else's), and as soon as it feels like that's being wasted, I'm done. I totally see where Stinky is coming from, and I feel nearly the same. I'm just not ready to fold up shop yet, I still enjoy the people on my team, and the fun we have in our forum...so Bort hasn't worn me out yet. I'm still holding out a little hope, lol.
I totally understand where you're coming from with this, and I can't say I entirely disagree with any part of it.
Though I still have faith in this game, and I'll stick with it undoubtedly.
