I've decided that this has been the last season for the Sapporo Samurai. Their seems to be a sense of growing general disinterest, not only on our team, but all around GLB. The work involved for offseason recruiting, while once joyous and exciting, has become tiresome and grueling. Couple this with recent time and money constraints, and I've decided selling the team is the right move for me to do on a personal level.

Good luck to the rest of you teams in AA#4.

Whilst it is obviously a shame for any team to be sold, I do appreciate where you are coming from ...

Good luck

It is too bad that you feel the need to sell, I totally know where you are coming from when saying it has become grueling.

Truth be told, the main reason for selling is because I'm in the process of recording and mixing my band's first demo album, and owning a team is taking too much time away from my ability to do so.

Sorry to hear you are selling, glad it wasn't because of lack of name recognition due to my misspelling your team city. Best of luck with your band, which reminds me, I have to go update the Battles of the Bands thread.

Despite any shit between us in the past its shit to see yet another owner leaving because of the decline in the games playability. At the end of the day if the game was still as fun as it was a few seasons ago there would be less owners selling. Having said that I understand the time thing myself - the Bucks season seven was non-existent because of shit going on in real life. I think Id sell the team were things to get as hectic again (and they might if I get my summer research post in Austria) and let someone else have a go.

Anyway its shit to see you go as you didnt completely fail like some of the owners to pass through this league.

One of the inherent problems with this game is the number of teams that are released and/or recycled every season- it's way too easy to get ownership of a team, to the point that there are more active teams than there are enough good active players to properly fill out a team roster. This results in teams fighting over not only good players, but even average-to-badly built players, where it ought to be players fighting to get a spot on a team's roster. That's what happens in real football, and that's what should happen in GLB too.

I agree to some extent. There are WAY too many full leagues at this point in the game. I know people would argue that if there werent new teams every year new players would have nowhere to go but frankly thats a financial reason. If the game is to survive long term it should aim to do whats going to be the best from season 11 onwards when you will have player decline - not whats good up until that point.

Of course if we had proper defensive substitutions there would be more than enough teams for players as then players could be made specifically for one down situations etc.

Sucks to see you leave. As a fellow 49er fan, you're welcome in Padang.

I thank you for the invite, but it looks like you'll soon be promoted to AAA, and if that's the case you'll need higher level players than my guys.
