Its cool, I am not arguing your judgement, I just thought I would put my RB out there and see what people thought.

Second team will be coming up later.

After this post, please post your TOP 10 PLAYERS from the 1st team. They should be dominating their positions and should deserve to be voted into a TOP 10 PLAYERS list for a MVP award. I'd like to get an early jump for it, or possibly just do a vote for a mid-season MVP.

Thanks,

SG

Thats a good point, you cant choose players based on stats alone, that leaves out 50% of the equation.
example: CB's with more interceptions are usually getting picked on, check the yards they have given up per pass their way, thats the best way to rate a CB.

Overall its a nice idea but the logic is obviously flawed.

If only catches allowed were a stat eh?

Yea, that'd be nice. No1 catches passes on my CB but i'm not up on the all pro team.

Well it should be a good matchup curb. We're actually going to target your CB with Powers.

I think the Center should be looked at again:

C - Mono Lithic - Washington Slashers - 115 pancakes

I can explain this one. Look at snaps (well, you can't now because of the last game); Lithic had over a hundred more snaps than the guy I chose. I took it into account, due to the fact that the number pancakes, at the time of the OP, were within 10.

If only...I don't record that either but if any positions stats are misleading, it is surely a CB's.

And SG I apprecaite you putting the time into comming up with a list, like osprey, just giving my $o.o2

Sorry guys, I don't have time for the second team right now. I'm juggling some US Gov't AP work with other school work.

CB stats are almost totally useless. The more PD and INTs you have, the more often you've been thrown at. The best CBs don't even get passes thrown their way more than once or twice a game.

CBs are hard to judge. You can look at it like the less passes thrown to one side is better but then also what about an instance where 12 passes go to the right side and 6 to the left. And what if each batted down all but 2. Or in a case where all passes are knocked down on both sides... just hard to judge.

I probably should've done the second team yesterday, but I did homework instead

Well, looks like my next update will be for the end of the season. Prior to that, I'll probably do a "MVP Watch" thread. Looking forwards to the rest of the season.

Yea the last few games are going to be exciting and the playoffs in the West are gonna be really competitive, Im very excited about all of it. Im hoping I can snag a couple more Defensive TD's too ;o)

I see Oklahoma and Death Valley are yet to play Horde, should be good games Haha We will see, Im keeping my eye on them. Big game against Richey tomorrow but we don't have much of a shot without getting to the QB...We'll see what happens.
