Warrior General Games

I was hoping we'd just keep it close, but our team managed to take down a very solid USA Pro team that looks like they are playoff-bound. We beat them by a margin of 24-6 in a game that was mostly defensive in nature. I know it is a scrimmage and that teams don't gameplan for them like a real game, but we're fairly shocked by our win! The best stat of the day was 11 sacks and 21 hurries against a very good offensive line.

This goes to confirm how strong A6 is. I think if we played again, we'd probably get manhandled, but just defeating a USA pro playoff team once is invigorating, especially when some of you guys put up better numbers against us. Rivalries and upcoming games aside, you guys are a great (and active) bunch and have been a pleasure to play with this season.

It is important to note, this was not a playoff game.

Seriously, these guys tried something different on offense and we got lucky and had the right defense dialed in. Even so, I'll take a win over a Pro team any day.

To make it ever sweeter, the owner of said Pro team immediately started a bug thread because we sacked his QB so much.

Very true that they tried out something different. If they took the game seriously, we'd get "hammered" by the Hammer, though I don't think it would be a blowout or even a gimme game for them. Still, its something to be happy about. A6 pride!

Speaking of A6, the original A6 Washington Wolfpack team is tied for 1st place in the USA Pro Western conference. The original A6 Chicago Hedgehogs are in 6th. The original A6 Washington Bullets are 9th in the other side of the pro league. I didn't realize we had three original A6 teams in the pros already. San Francisco Fire (original A6) was the first team to make it to USA pro, but unfortunately apparently gutted last season and was relegated.
