7. London, 8-6
- Where they stand: Tied for 7th, currently seeded 7th.

- Prediction: #7, 9-7

8. Maranello, 8-6

- Remaining Schedule: at Jellystone 3-11, Cork 7-7
- Prediction: #10, 8-8

Maranello's wins vs both Cork and Western Europe are what are getting them into the playoffs right now, and London's losses to both teams are what is putting their possible playoff spot in jeopardy. London must win games and hope Dublin beats Cork then Cork beats Western Europe. If London loses to Amsterdam (which is pretty likely), and Western Europe beats Jellystone and Cork beats Dublin, London will NOT make the playoffs. If Dublin beats Cork, then London has to win their last game against Roman and hope Cork beats Western Europe. Unless London can beat Amsterdam, they are a 7th seed which will need help from someone to clinch a playoff spot.

I agree... and I really am not interested in being part of it. I wish we were playing just about any other team than Cork right now. The good news for us is, that if we lose to Cork, we have a shot at the #6 seed, which would be better than the #5 seed, IMO. Although we would prefer a loss, we will try our best to beat Cork, to make the playoff picture fair and realistic rather than dumping a game to a team in the playoff race.

Actually, things aren't quite as grim for London as they appear (unfortunately) given that victory over Maranello. If Maranello loses to Dresden but beats Reykjavik (a likely combination), then they will likely join the tie at 9 - 7 with London (assuming a split) and either Cork or Western Europe (if one wins out). That logjam would have to go to the second tiebreaker, and there London would seemingly have an advantage.

What is the second tie breaker?

Forgive me if my Tuesday blues have me looking too lazy to find out for myself.

2nd tie breaker is points scored. In a 3 way 9-7 tie, the first tiebreaker is head to head, and all 3 teams (Maranello, London, and either Western Europe or Cork) will be 1-1 against the other two. 2nd tiebreaker is points scored. Maranello has 1114, Cork 1054, London 947, and Western Europe has 822. London is out if Cork is 9-7 and in if Western Europe is 9-7.
