Hello, this week I will be handling things a little different.
Frankurt(11-0) at Bordeaux(11-0)- The battle of the Titans, both are undefeated at 11-0. Frankfurt travels to Bordeaux for this matchup, but don't expect much jet lag here. The Goblins and Demons will certainly put all they have on the table, but in the end the Demons will prove that they are deserving of the win.
Danish(6-5) at Stirling(10-1)- This will be a good game, but the Horseman will just use their superior defense to get some key stops on third down and cause the Danish to punt the ball away. Stirling will control the time clock and be able to get a solid victory over the Vikings at home.
Antwerp(8-3) at Legends(9-2)- The Legends have really been a surprise team lately, only losing two games this season. Antwerp on the other hand, has only lost three games, but those three games they lost they didn't come to play. So which Antwerp team will we see against the Legend? I think it'll be the team that doesn't show up as the Legend handle them fairly easily at home.
Copenhagen(5-6) at Cleveland(3-8)- Copenhagen will improve to .500 on the year will a blowout win at Cleveland. The Stunts will certainly have their work cut out for them for a late season push into the playoffs.
Maginot(5-6) at Korinthos(0-11)- Maginot gets a pick me up game after a season of disappointment. I don't see the Line getting into the playoffs, unless they can rally against Copenhagen the last game of the year.
Palmero(3-8) at UK(1-10)- Palmero.....next year is your year.
EPIC(1-10) at Vestfold(6-5)- Vestfold in a good win against Epic, they can't afford to slip up in any of these gimmie games as they are also looking to make the playoffs.
GOTW!!!!!!
London Fog(5-6) at Alicante(2-9)- Now I know you are all thinking WTF kid...how can't the Demons and Goblins be the GOTW? Well let me put it this way, no matter what happens in the goblins/demons game...they will finish with stirling for the top 3 in the conference. However this game...well this game could mean a lot in reality. Before the Fog went CPU, they won enough games to put them in playoff contention in the Alpha. If they sneak a win versus Alicante here, they will most likely finish the season 8-8 and that will put them into a tie with another 8-8 team in Vestfold. Also if Maginot manages to beat Copenhagen week 16....that will put four teams at 8-8 battling for 7th and 8th seed in the playoffs. The advantages then place Copenhagen and the Fog in the Playoffs by my math. Allowing a 30 OVR CPU team to push a 51 OVR(Maginot) and 48 OVR(Vestfold) out of the playoffs! That reason alone makes me very interested in this game. Will Alicante gameplan to stop the Fog? I doubt it, giving the Fog the edge and the playoff berth.
My final Rankings suggest this for the Alpha Conference:
1.)Stirling(15-1)
2.)Bordeaux(15-1)
3.)Frankfurt(15-1)
4.)Legends(13-3)
5.)Antwerp(12-4)
6.)Danish(9-7)
7.)Copenhagen(9-7)
8.)London Fog(8-8)
9.) Vestfold(8-8)
10.)Maginot(7-9)
11.)Palmero(5-11)
12.)EPIC(4-12)
13.)Cleveland(3-13)
14.)Alicante(2-14)
15.)UK(1-15)
16.)Korinthos(0-16)
Now again that is totally my opinion and anyone is free to comment on any of this.
The top three teams are subject to change as it is my prediction that Demons beat Frankfurt...Stirling beats the Demons and then it comes down to most points scored which currently is Stirling-Bordeaux-Frankfurt
