Guys, as it's well known by know, the Convicts are gutting due to some personal issues, owner burnout, etc. I just wanted to apologize in advance to everyone for the fact that we're going to completely screw up the stats and awards. Last season we had no guts in Zeta and it was the most legitimate set of season awards I'd ever seen in GLB. This season they'll be screwed up. I feel bad for Samoa and the other teams who we beat early on because we're going to be a complete no-factor from here on out.

You're not the only gutted team. So chin up!

Considering that you took over the team after someone else gutted it I don't think you need to apologize.

I have mixed feelings on this. It sucks that a team that chirped alot prior to Osaka will never play them.

I do understand you selling the team and wish you the best.

Also I do not mind a bye week prior to the playoffs

Goodluck to you and all of the Convicts

But why Gut the team, if as you say in the GLB Forum, most of the players will retire anyway? Why do they need off it now?

Look at game 6 vs BPN for that answer. We hadn't started gutting at that point and lost by 42 because there was no one gameplanning. Ask BPN if they expected to win that game by anything close to 42; I already know the answer. That game should have been, at most, a 14 point spread.

Short answer: because there was no way we'd win anything with no one at the helm.

That's pretty much the answer. We'd only moved about 7 guys off a roster of ~50 by the Tasmania game and ran a basic AI offense for that one. The only positions for that game we were below our recommended depth was CB and WR where we had 4 instead of the 6 we carried. For the most part we'd lost guys who were part of our depth, but shouldn't have been critical players if we gave starters more snaps. The basic AI completely sucked. We had no hopes of backing into the playoffs, and it wouldn't have been fair to the guys on the team to just put them on cruise control. I spent 6 seasons as an owner building relationships and trust. If 6-9 months from now I want to jump back in to GLB I don't want to be remembered as the guy who screwed his team over.

And last I checked... the Convicts stuck a shiv in LaShontell. We saw you coming. You didn't see us hiding around the corner.
