Double check that your auto-adjust is OFF -- I know there was a long thread in the forums about AI problems and in the end it turned out the team had its auto-adjust on -- not trying to insult you with something simple -- tbh I had to go back and double check mine b/c I hadn't checked it for several seaons

I am noticing some weird play calling at times myself which I posted in the last handshake thread, but for the most part, for better or for worse, I'm at least getting the plays I've been calling on the various teams where I'm involved

Also check the quarter specific stuff, since they override the normal stuff, and remember that the AI works from top to bottom looking for solutions.

I know it took us a good couple of seasons to work out all the kinks in our AI, they hide ways of messing it up everywhre

A good rule of thumb (if your Auto adjust is off) is to run the "Test Offensive AI" and put in the exact parameters of the play that went wrong....i.e. 3rd Qtr, 3:07 remaining, Ball on Own 46 yd line, 2nd and 7, Trailing by 6.
That way you can see what plays "should" trigger at that point. If there's a problem in the AI, it'll show there, if not....then I would send it up to support with a nicely worded WTF.

I recently found out that that is due to (And I am paraphrasing so I might not get it right totally) But if a situation comes up in the AI, and it's untested, it resorts back to the basic settings, so it doesn't matter what you have in your playbook etc,

That is my understanding of what I was told.

Good point -- ours would have been vulnerable to an input that had no match -- I had to replace the old OC and had to key in a whole new AI in a real rush (AI copying greasemonkey script won't work for me lately for some reason)

I haven't read anything about that lately, but I was always under the impression that the AI would try to find the closest match to an input without an exact match

I wonder, could the "follow my AI exactly" be a problem -- I always leave that one unchecked -- maybe having that checked off and then not having a match could cause the sim to ignore your AI

we had ours checked when we installed the new AI....

We acutally had to change everything up this year...and I clicked it on to try and force the AI to run the ball in certian situations....

We tried to track down this weird blitz and the screens for a few weeks before I found the blitz mistake....i had assumed the Screen was an AI error ( we have a fairly lengthy AI project in place) before i just took it RIGHT OUT the playbook...then in the Mali game We call the freaken Screen...sigh....not even in the playbook....

So I unchecked it and , I hope we dont see the screen called again until we actually game plan to call it....
