Seems about right, the only teams that ever get mentioned there are DD, LOL, and TLGOT which all have losses to teams on that list. SLS rarely plays anyone outside APL so thats the reason they go unnoticed.

and i dont think anyone knows there is a lion conference.nor should they.

Actually the Bugeaters were mentioned on that list twice. We have played 3 teams on that list and beat 2 of them by double digits and lost to the 3rd by 2 points on a TD with 9 seconds left. If we played that team again, they'd get thumped.

Lion shouldn't be mentioned? LOL and TLGoT came in 2nd while DD got their ASSES handed to them. DD didn't even play their 3rd game they sucked so bad and probably cost a team from advancing because they didn't get to play DD. The SOLE LION representative on the other hand WON their region and have one of the better point differentials.

APL should CLEARLY have some teams on this list. Yes, we've lost to some good teams, but some of APL's top teams would DESTROY some of the teams on this list.

Name the teams APL would destroy.

Well we beat ALB and Voo-Doo. I think LOL, TLGoT, DSWK, DD, SLS can beat teams that we've beaten. We very well could have beaten BDC, which tells me that they can get beat by LOL, TLGoT, DSWK, DD, and SLS.

I'm not saying that the teams on this list aren't very good, but I don't believe for a MOMENT that that should be no APL representation from APL.

APL gets overlooked and cast aside without much thought, and yes there have been some valid reason for that in the past, but APL is getting stronger, not doubt about it.

We didn't play our 3rd game because the other owner never accepted by challenge within the 15 day window and eventually sent me a counteroffer after the deadline had expired. Also, still waiting on the list of teams from APL that would destroy the other teams on that list. Also, go ahead and make a case for some teams from APL that should be on that list and I'll post them on the committee board.

I pm'ed a guy about possibly being on that committee.

I agree APL is closing the gap, but all the teams that have an argument from APL have bad losses. DD got hammered by Woodridge, a team we beat last season. DD got beat by the Monkeys handily. TLGOT got hammered twice by very good teams and has a league loss. LOL got beat by DD, but does have some very good wins and a "good" loss to WSI. SLS needs to play better teams outside of APL before they will get recognition. Angola, same as SLS. Bugeaters have 2 league losses.

I don't have any problem with teams from APL not being on that list at the moment. APL will have its time to shine season 10 and beyond as that is when the Season 1 Players from the other Pro leagues will start retiring and APL will most likely be the most dominant league out there.

I'll say that the jump in competitiveness from Season 7 to Season 8 has been fairly substantial.

We definitely have to schedule more scrimmages if we want to get some recognition, but right now we are more concerned with what happens right here in APL more than what any rankings have to say.

This is where we're at, too. We've played two middle of the pack Pro Teams out of the league the past two seasons and we've destroyed them both. So I have a hunch we can compete with the better teams across the board at a Pro level even though we haven't reached championship form in APL (getting there).

We expect to start competing internationally in season 9 because the jump that APL has made from season 7 to season 8 has been substantial (agree with MattyP on this). If APL makes even a small jump up for season 9 I'd say as a league we're fully in the mix.

I also expect to see a fair amount of movement in the list over the second half of the season. The midseason Bort is going to bring some new teams to the foreground.

I can admit SLS wasn't close to being even in the top of the APL discussion, let alone this one. But we added a lot of guys and changed our focus this past season and I think we're seeing the results now. If we can keep rolling on (we're still a work in progress IMO) then SuperHawks can start thinking about scheduling the top level teams more. I'm sure he will

I will keep an eye on APL teams in the next committee ranking. League has allready passed WEPL and has caught up to the other leagues. Still some work to do but not very far behind at all

The Stallions aren't in that league quite yet, and for now if we aren't the best team in Elephant we at least have the best record and have beat two of the other heavyweights heads-up already, so honestly we are probably the only team that had a shot at the list, right now. I believe Turnit (one of our agents) is still on the committee that does one set of these rankings. I doubt he would vote for us at this point either. In scrimages we barely beat one of our fellow teams that got some other players from TIT's which last season fell off these lists anyways, and that team is struggling mightily in USA AAA. Plus our scrimage against SA Pro was a loss to a middle of the pack team, which is probably the sole reason we didn't make the bottom of that list. If either TLGoT or LOL make it through the season with 1 loss they will be on the list by the end of the season because of their scrimmage performances, if SLS makes it through undefeated they probably will too, especially if we step up our scrimmage schedule.

But having played several of these teams as a agent who was on teams who formerly were on these lists in several places, and having played against probably half of those teams, I'm not sure any of us deserve it yet. IMO they are pretty good with their rankings.

I agree. Nothing against APL, but it is the newest of the PRO leagues and most of the talented season 1 players are still on USAPL, CPL and top teams in other PRO leagues. The VA has really given advantage to those older players, so it's pretty tough to catch them until they start to decline.

With that said, I think couple teams from APL can compete and beat a lot of teams in other PRO leagues. However, that doesn't mean that they would be ranked in the top 25. For example, just because OPL might not be strong overall, and top teams in APL can probably beat majority of the teams there, but they will not be able to beat the top teams in OPL on a consistent basis. To get in the top 25, you have to be able to do that, after all, the top 25 is made up of teams from those leading teams in Pro Leagues.

I also agree with someone that mentioned the gap has closed this season. Mostly due to the sim this season, if you have a good power back, you will be able to hang with anybody. The team with the top Power Backs will win in most match ups this season.

Stallions snuck up to #25 in their newst ranking. Focused on LOL right now, but looking to add some scrimages after that. So hopefully we can carry the mail, (and figure out a way to contain Jedi)
