Warrior General Games

I normally don't do "GG" threads as most games usually aren't. I just wanted to say thanks for playing. Naw, really though it was a fun game to watch. With you guys' offense, I didn't know what to expect, you do everything well. I'm still just shocked our D held up so phenomenally.

On a side note, I think this is the first time Padang has ever faces Chicago Chicagopolis, Mob6's WR. Correct me if I'm wrong.

GG, you guys completely shut down our offense. Our effort was uninspiring to say the least. We definitely got away from what was working for us in our previous 3 games, I see at least 3 things that need to be corrected if we are going to win against the Bucks next week and win a play-off game. Better to find these things out now than in an elimination game.

Chicago is now 2-1 against Padang, played you guys twice in season 4 (1 reg and 1 play-off). Hopefully Bort fixes the CB coverage he acknowledged was working too well against WRs this season because speed WRs are worthless this season. I have led this league in average yards per catch both seasons I have been in it, but this year I'll be lucky if my average is above 10 yards per catch at the end of the year.

Yeah, but look at Bort's updates today. Hopefully the leading the receiver fix actually, you know, is a fix.

Just as long as we're not using that as an excuse. Passing does indeed suck a bit this season, but so does pass-rushing, so it's pretty much even.

I think something has changed in the passing game, we had a few plays today where we were hit in stride. Heres an example, any other game, I would have come to a stop.

Bort did indeed make changes to leading WRs. The question is, how effective were they? There are about 50% of people bitching in the forums right now saying the changes made their completions % worse and 50% saying they improved (and all this with one games worth of evidence, lol). The passes looked better to me in terms of being led, though I didn't see any completion % improvements. The best part is they put a text blurb in the replay on some incompletions that says "bad pass" which makes me a bit happier now that I know 25% of balls thrown my way are off target!


BigTony, no excuses, we got beat like Rihanna the night before the Grammies.

Yeah they look a lot better IMO, but we have been passing mostly to TEs and HBs all season. I cant be a judge on the WR aspect of it.
