Which is better?

C doesn't really need FS. He's operating in a very limited space and only occasionally will pull or really get downfield for a block.

But OP could be useful as an SA that other lineman have that C's normally don't.

ok, I just though it FS might get him off the ball quicker.

I wouldn't take either. You're looking for one piece: line general. Or +2-3 str/blk +2-5% hold block chance I guess

everyday I feel that spd is more important for the oline than I used to think it was, I think FS might be the best. As an olineman all you really need to do is engage the block, that will generally buy enough time for you're QB.

I have used the Absorb pain for a couple of games, and I have seen an increase in pancakes. Could be a coincidence

I have FS up to 3 for my center. Useless. I rolled again and picked up a cut block, much happier with that after 1 game.

If he's on special teams, then he could use the extra boost in acceleration yes?

Go with Absorb Pain for sure. I went with a +3 Blocking +1 First Step for 2 seasons and never saw any benefit from it. This season I bought a +1 Absorb Pain and my Pancakes are up. Not that Pancakes are indicative of success though. Just saying.

special teams is worth considering, but I wouldn't base my choice of AEQ on that if it is not useful for him on the line. I'd put points into agility which is useful for both, but look for AEQ that is more suited for oline work.

Oline isnt' a glamour position, if you hit you're defender quicker you have a better chance of engaging the block. Most sacks are either coverage related or the result of a dlineman going un-engaged off the snap.

This is true, but when was the last time you saw a NT go unblocked....

Centers want Line General , that's their best AEQ choice
2nd best = Foundation
