Games to Watch

Balanced Game of the Week

Perth Cyclones @ Sumatra Sea Hawksai

It is the balance that Perth has that has kept them winning up to this point. They are going into a game that could set the tone for the rest of their season. They've not 'blown up the stat board' on either side of the ball but they've done enough to win and that is all that matters. They've consistently played well when the heat was on and I would expect they will do the same thing today. Sumatra has just 1 loss, and that loss isn't even in their conference, that might tell you just how good they are. They too are a very balanced team and it is that balance that has gotten them to this point. This matchup, I believe, will be about what team can maintain their balance and which team stumbles first.

Underrated Underdog Game of the Week

Rapid City Rebels @ Endzone Warriors

The Rebels go on the road as the early favorites in this game. They have done VERY WELL against middle of the road and underachieving teams, but they face a serious test that has been on somewhat of a downward spiral as of late. They are going to want and need to take advantage of that element in this game. EW comes in at home as the unexpected underdog, unexpected in the regard that at the beginning of the season, this wa a team you probably would not have thought would be 4-3 at this point, but they have been on somewhat of a downward spiral and must get it turned around in this game. They have a lot of talent and a lot of ground to cover, even as the projected underdogs at home, it is not unthinkable that they would pull this one out with a big win.

Powerhouse Game of the of the Week

Darwin Mud Crabs @ Williamsport Soul Reaversy

Darwin is a good team, with tons of talent that just hasn't gotten it done when the pressure was on. That doesn't mean they can't and they could really turn some heads with a big win of a team that has is still being questioned. Darwin is really underachieving offensively and that is what has hurt them this season, in order to pull this game out they are going to need to crank it up a notch against WSR. WSR has had a pretty outstanding season so far, though their 'competition' has been very below avg. That of course, not including the one team to 'put down' the beast in Guam, and their opening game against Sumatra. Having said that, even with below avg opponents, they've not performed as well as they probably may have hoped at times. WSR has got to keep the pressure upon Darwin and not allow themselves to stumble again. In this game, its only fair to refer to Williamsport as the projected powerhouse, but, at the end of this game, we'll know whether or not that was a justified assessment or not.

Middle of the Road Game of the Week

Mauna Kea Chenabogs @ Port Royal Predators

MKC has a big question mark in front of them this season, they pulled out a great win over EW, but outside of that, have not beat anyone with a winning record, they could pull off another big win over a team that not only has not been overlooked but has gotten many looks already this season. The Port Royal Predators, who've been underachieving this season, really need to turn it around in this game, momentum wise they need every win they can get from here on out. Talent wise they have it, but they've not been able to put it all together in every game like they had hoped. This game comes down to two teams with tons of talent, that have simply struck some bad like at worse times and not achieved as much as I believe they're capable of. Which team will step up this week and get back on the right path.

Oceania AA2 Alpha Game of the Week

Easter Island Moai @ West Cannan Coyotess

This could be a powerhouse game, but the last time I picked a game 'out of place' it should've been the game of the week, that's why this one IS! EIW may have dropped a couple games but no one is doubting their ability, especially West Canaan, you can take that to the bank. With a top 10 Offense and top 10 Defense, EIW is sure to bring the pain this week and try to put the beast that is WCC down. West Canaan has played very well thsi season and is ranked #1 Offensively, Defensively and on Special Teams, however, let us not forget this is against inferior opponents for the most part and one of the two teams in Alpha that had a winning record, Guam, pushed them to the limit. They were able to take down the Gators in week 1 before the Gators really got rolling but, statistically it is what it is and WCC is on top. No doubt that WCC is the favorite in this game but they gotta play mistake free football here. Because right below them are a few teams just hoping to see the Titans Fall. If you Miss it, Its Your Loss!

Oceania AA2 Zeta Game of the Week

Melbourne Gators @ Newcastle Ghosts

The Gators took 1 big hit at the beginning of the season and responded with a snap at the jaw like razor blades on flesh, they've ripped through everything , but winners and losers in terms of records, that has been put in front of them and they are coming into this game like starved beasts. They are hungry for more and they are going to be looking to make dinner out of the Ghosts. But the Ghosts, you know what they're thinking, you can't eat want you cant see right? At least I bet thats what Trapper Helios and their #1 Passing Offense thinks. The Ghosts, last week by me, were 'called out' on needing to step up and you know what, that's exactly what they did. There's little doubt in my mind that know matter what happens this week, there is going to be blood in the water and we've not seen the last of either of these playoff likely teams. If you miss it, It's STILL Your Loss!

Easter Island put it on us good last season so we will look to avenge that loss.

With them and Samoa back to back it's gonna be 2 really tough matchups for us to deal with.

Good writeups and alot of good games to watch as well in both conferences.

PHENOMENAL write up. Defensive AI is set for this game against Darwin. It's a COMPLETELY knew AI so I'm hoping this creates some Hell!

The Ghosts are ready. Good luck to the Gators. It should be a wild one. Lets see who can take that step forward towards the big boys.

Thanks for another GotW write up for the Moai Jack. Sorry we dropped the ball again. Might be best if you just skipped us in any further GotW write ups so we don't disappoint our fans any further.

You got beat but a serious team. I wouldn't personally call that dropping the ball.

Melbourne, Newcastle, you guys didn't disappoint this week, hell of a game guys.

Port Royal, way to turn it around, good job over there. That was another great game, good job pulling it out and hopefully turning your season around.

I hear you Port Royal, but we all know here, or should, how good that team is, we all have some bad luck from time to time, hell I started my team out with those kinds of seasons. Imo, definitely not a sign of quality of team or management. Just keep your head up and keep moving forward, Port Royal is going to be a beast again before anyone knows it. I'm sure you can bank on that.
