When Baton Rouge started in season 6 there were many teams here that i felt that way about

Don't take it as a criticism of Baton Rouge nor as some indictment of what you have built. I have already played 3 teams that I was a 6 rating point dog to, and I have your 9 point margin yet to go. We just don't look forward to those games, that's all.

Bottom line, you guys are an AA team, worthy of AAA in some regions, and it is not your fault that you were not promoted. I will always be as gracious as possible, but I will probably stop short of thanking you for our presumptive annihilation.

Thank you Ib just want people to know i PMed support 3 times and then server gate hit! My reply was win your league and move up, so with that attitude i decided OK we will try our damnedest to win it all! I just cannot stand the fact that people think i stacked and planned on losing to stay here is ridiculous!

Past the slow build teams, I don't think anybody plans on losing games just to stay down a league.

I am sure you guys just had a tough league last season and couldn't find a way to get moved up. The biggest factor though is probalby just the lack of teams in line above you that couldn't be moved down.

It happens.

The only thing I have ever said about the Tigers is that you guys are head and shoulders above most of the teams in the league so doing a power ranking for Alpha was kind of pointless. There are 3 extreamly strong teams in alpha. 1 that is even stronger then the other 2. And that is all that really needs to be said about the conference.

I personally hope they move all the teams that are currently a 57 or higher up. Sure has been a rough road this season. Our OC has pretty much gone to playing the the AI mid season which is something we wouldn't do if we felt we had any kind of shot at a title. But hey, you might as well take the games for what they are worth and build for the following season, right?

I will posit right now that not all of the 57+ rated teams will get promoted though; based on recent history, two out of the current four, three tops. And there will be others joining them at 57 before season's end as well. Our conference will retain a share of heavy hitters for next season to be sure, and probably a team or two will have a higher level friend's team disband leaving them a trove of player stock for a jump-start. I will openly state that I expect to be in that latter category myself, although the windfall will not be quite so huge as some others due to a lot of player retirements.

The churn goes on, and along with it the choice: patient building or gate jumping. Neither is morally wrong or right, and more likely just the ramifications of owners' respective opportunities.

And all that is absolutely okay with me because I like the strategizing more than anything else. Okay, I suck at it, but I like it, that's all. And if and when my team is so good that I fear giving something away by playing my game, or so bad that nothing I do matters game-in and game-out, that is when I will hang it all up.
