I just decided to say WTF, and try this and see how good at it I can be. There wasn't a lot of scientific method to this - it's as much gut feeling as statistical analysis:
Mudville Bombers @ Houston Cougars correct
The #1 Cougars are undefeated, and likely to remain that way for the foreseeable future. However, Aukland's the best team they've played so far, and while that win was decisive, it was hardly spectacular. This game will look a lot like a repeat of the Aukland-Houston matchup in week 3.
Lynchburg Lightning @ Riverhead Blue Waves incorrect
It's my opinion that Riverhead is undefeated simply because of it's schedule so far. That's going to change when they meet their toughest opponents yet this season, the Lightning. Lynchburg is a tough team with good talent who's only defeat this season was to their old BBB #8 rivals, CPU Paper Tigers. This will be the game to watch this week.
Lexington Lynx @ CPU Paper Tigers correct
Lexington has had a tough schedule so far, and it isn't any better for them this week against CPU.
San Antonio Heat @ Gotham Crusaders correct
When one of the best teams in the conference goes up against one of the really struggling ones, it's a no brainer.
Big Whiskey Assassins @ Farkistan Squirrels incorrect
This game is going to be indicative of how the rest of the Squirrel's season goes. On paper the Squirrels are a top rated team, however if their victory over the Assassins this week looks no better than their one over Auckland, they're going to struggle.
Auckland Raiders @ Austin Wineswilling Fancy Boys correct
I think Auckland is one of the most underrated teams in the league. They've lost to some good teams, but those losses haven't been nearly as decisive as their record indicates. These guy's are poised to go somewhere once they get the lucky breaks they need. Austin's Wineswillig Fancy boys will be an easy win for them.
Columbus South Caralackeys @ Inya Onya correct
Not much to say about this game.
Chicago Whodats @ Austin Alcoholics correct
Chicago, just what is up with you? Fromt he outside, it looks like the bulk of your problem this year is recruiting - come on, fill some holes - like your K&P - those low level guys aren't doing you any favors.
EDIT: Hmm. 6 out of 8.
The opinions above are solely mine, and not necessarily indicative of my team management.
