Ok, this is my first pseudo-real rankings. I don't take these that seriously, so if you do, I'll just laugh at you. Did anyone else notice that our league has the highest suggested levels of any A league in the entire game outside of USA? That's a testament to the teams in this league and the overall level of competition.
.) Bristol Palins-Off to an impressive start with a solid win over Oshawa and a blowout of Niagara. They have some very high level players mixed in with some not so high level players. It will be interesting to see if their OLine can hold up against some of the better defenses in the league they way they have so far.
.) Newfoundland Norsemen-No one else has 3 wins by 30 or more points, but every team they played had some question marks. Rematch of playoffs Round 1 last season coming next.
.) DA REAL BEARS-After a putrid season last, the bears appear to be back after a big win over WAE. If they don't slip up, they'll be sitting pretty mid-season. At the very least, they have a clear lead on the race for the best ALL CAPS team.
.) Syracuse Thrillers-With 2 wins over the other 2-1 teams, these guys earn the #4 spot. A beatdown from the Wildcards make me wonder how they'll hold up all season though.
.) Oshawa Hounds-A reasonable performance against Bristol and then a dominating performance against the Diesels lands them here. Still a dangerous team, but their chemistry isn't helping things.
.) Roman Raiders-The Raiders are back and with a win over South Bend, get the nod here. Will be interesting to see how their defense does against Bristol this week.
.) South Bend Thunder-Dedicated to the run and solid defense makes them a tough team to play. Match up with SSS to keep this spot.
.) Saskatchewan Screaming Sasquatch-Tough loss to Syracuse, but I'm just not sold on these guys. They can prove me wrong with a big win over SBT.
.) Merced Raiders Thunder-So hard to pick from the 1-2 group. This league is really a cluster-f. MRT has two close losses. The other 1-2 teams can't really claim that.
.) Ottawa Force-I still think this is a playoff team. They were clearly better than the Diesels and both losses are to good teams.
.) EAST COAST PIRATES-Solid win over the Spooks gets them here. Loss to REAL BEARS hurts their chance to claim the best CAPS team crown.
.) Windsor Armin Excuses-I still think these guys have a playoff shot, and they showed it in game 1. After two beat downs, they need to get back on track and Ottawa/WAE will be a big game this week as neither team wants to be looking at 1-3 after great seasons last season.
.) CASPER SPOOKS-Loss to the Pirates slots them down here. They can be a dangerous team.
.) Vancouver Island Thunder-Solid win over the Eh's, but their losses are the kind of games that they need to win. They just might not have the offense to compete in this league.
.) Dawg Pound Diesels-A good draw in inter-conference might help them stave off relegation at the end of the season. Every game counts for them, but early on, they're my pick for dead last in this Conference...and they aren't that bad!
.) Niagara Daredevils-The best 0-3 team in all of the A-leagues. Chemistry isn't helping their cause, but I expect them to get their first win in week 4.
