Zeta Power Rankings

1. (1) EuroTrash Talkers (90-10 Win vs. Aalborg Snaps)

2-0 (0-0 vs. Top 5 teams in Zeta)

A solid 2-0 start to the season for the EuroTrash Talkers, which was to be expected as they look to be one of three teams in line for a conference/league title. They have outscored the first 2 opponents by a combined score of 163-17. The Talkers have so far used a balanced approach on offense and really pinned their ears back and have been trying to kill the oppositions QB. The Talkers have an easy matchup tonight as they square off vs. the Seattle Panthers. The question is whether or not BADAS$ will run up the score vs. a team that is from his very own city. I bet he does though
Next game vs. #11 Seattle Panthers

2. (2) Stafford Spartans (133-7 Win vs. D-Lightning)

2-0 (0-0 vs. Top 5)

A great start for diggzi and Co., as they have left no doubt in their first two games by scoring over 200 points and giving up just 10. The Spartans new RB Sima Rear has really been impressive by scoring 11 TD’s in the 2 games. This is another great team that will stay in the Top 3 all season long and will have to wait for only 2 games this year to do some real scouting and real work to win those games. The other 14 will be cakewalks. They play the Sandlot tonight and though the Sandlot have been improving they are not ready for a team like the Spartans.
Next game vs. #7 Arlington Sandlot

3. (3) Gridiron Greats (79-0 Win vs. Washington Warriors)

2-0 (0-0 vs. Top 5)

The Gridiron Greats might be better than the Spartans and may even be the best team in the conference but as the new guys they get the same treatment that the Spartans got last season in that they will have to beat a Top team before they can be ranked ahead of them. They are off to a very nice start and posted a shutout vs. an improved Warriors team in their last game. The Greats have looked good on offense and have the current sack leader on their team in DE Runz You O ver . They get the matchup of the week as they will play the Chicagoo Bears in the first real test for either team. The Bears were good last year and I’ll guess it’s a decent game but I see the Greats winning this win by about 24 as they pull away late.
Next game vs. #5 Chicagoo Bears

4. (4) Glasgow Cats (129-7 Win vs. Watford Cheetahs)

2-0 (0-0 vs. Top 5)

This is by far the highest the Cats have ever been ranked in the 2 seasons of this league. That’s credit to the job that neoliminal and his GM’s have done in going out and recruiting good talent. The have looked great so far after a couple of nice wins and have a good matchup tonight vs. the Warriors. HB Tyler Hugh Lewis is taking off right where he left off last season and is looking strong as ever. We’ll see how the season plays out but I wouldn’t be surprised to see the Cats finish at #4 and get a home playoff game. I’m just not sure if they are ready to play with the big 3 just yet.
Next game vs. #13 Washington Warriors

5. (5) Chicagoo Bears (132-3 Win vs. Seattle Panthers)

1-1 (0-0 vs. Top 5)

A great bounce back win for the Bears as they smacked down the Panthers by 129. They got off on the wrong foot in week 1 when they lost to the Alpha conference team the Geneva Plague who have a pretty decent team. The Bears don’t try to hide anything from anyone as they let you know that they are a running team and are doing it the same way as last season. They go up against a real tough team tonight in the Gridiron squad and they will again test the Dline and try to run down their throats. I expect the Greats to handle that game plan and win going away in the 4th quarter.
Next game vs. #3 Gridiron Greats

6. (6) Wolverhampton Wolverines (24-17 Win vs. Papa Dong’s Dragon Farm)

2-0 (0-0 vs. Top 5)

The Wolverines are a better team then last season yes, but how much better? We’ll have to wait and see one more week as they will beat the Cavs tonight but then get a real test vs. the Spartans in the following game. I expect the Wolverines will be a playoff team but not have a shot vs. any of the teams ranked ahead of them. They will cruise to a nice easy win tonight vs. the bottom feeding Cavaliers.
Next game vs. #16 Kickback Cavaliers

7. (7) Arlington Sandlot (84-0 Loss vs. Kickback Cavaliers)

2-0 (0-0 vs. Top 5)

The Sandlot is another decent team a lot like the Wolverines and Bears. They will smash the lesser opponents like they just did to the Cavaliers but they will also get run over by the Top 4 teams when they have to step up in competition. The Sandlot play the Spartans tonight and this one won’t even be close. I’m seeing a 90-7 type score in this one.
Next game vs. #2 Stafford Spartans

8. (8) Aalborg Snaps (10-90 Loss vs. EuroTrash Talkers)

0-2 (0-1 vs. Top 5)

The Snaps are not a GREAT team obviously but they are better than just an 0-2 record. A couple of tough early matchups has them searching for their first win of the season. Tonight’s game should be a good one against the Dragon Farm. I see a close game with the winning score coming late in the 4th.
Next game vs. #9 Papa Dong’s Dragon Farm

9. (9) Papa Dong’s Dragon Farm (17-24 Loss vs. Wolverhampton Wolverines)

1-1 (0-0 vs. Top 5)

After a season of being at the bottom of the league the Dragon Farm added some new talent and is looking to push for a possible playoff spot. They’ll need some wins against teams like the Snaps who they play tonight if they want to get into the playoffs this season.
Next game vs. #8 Aalborg Snaps

10. (10) D-Lightning (7-133 Loss vs. Stafford Spartans)

1-1 (0-1 vs. Top 5)

This is a new team to our league and they bring a League Championship with them; although it’s from season 4 and they are now under leveled for the teams in this league they at least know what it takes to win. They will roll tonight vs. another new team in the Gold Rush.
Next game vs. #15 San Francisco Gold Rush

11. (11) Seattle Panthers (3-132 Loss vs. Chicagoo Bears)

0-2 (0-1 vs. Top 5)

Another new team to the league and another team that isn’t ready to play with the playoff teams. If they got hot they could sneak into the Top 8 but I’m not sure about that after a huge 129-point loss vs. the Bears in their last game. Tonight’s game will be more of the same as they play the #1 team in the league. I see another 100+ point loss in their future.
Next game vs. #1 EuroTrash Talkers

12. (11) Watford Cheetahs (7-129 Loss vs. Glasgow Cats)

0-2 (0-1 vs. Top 5)

Rough game against the Cats last time out for the Cheetahs. Aside from the QB and HB most of the players are very low leveled as they prepare to take on the league. They will struggle all year but could hand the Knights their first loss of the season tonight. Should be one of the closest games of the week.
Next game vs. #14 Baltimore Knights

13. (13) Washington Warriors (0-79 Loss vs. Gridiron Greats)

0-2 (0-1 vs. Top 5)

The Warriors are off to a rough start and are really ranked this low because they got shutout in their last game. Of course I expected them to lose to the Greats but scoring a big fat 0 is not the sign that this team is improving on their playoff team from last year. We’ll see if they can bounce back tonight vs. a good Glasgow Cats team.
Next game vs. #4 Glasgow Cats

14. (14) Baltimore Knights (84-35 Win vs. San Francisco Gold Rush)

2-0 (0-0 vs. Top 5)

Undefeated and still ranked #14? Yes, it’s true. The Knights are 2-0 but that’s more a case of a nice easy schedule than them really being a good team. The Knights are a brand new team and owner caffrey hasn’t yet filled the team with human players. More than half of the starting lineup is CPU. Tonight’s game against the Cheetahs looks like a good matchup. If the CPU players step up they could go 3-0 haha.
Next game vs. #12 Watford Cheetahs

15. (15) San Francisco Gold Rush (35-84 Loss vs. Baltimore Knights)

0-2 (0-0 vs. Top 5)

Brand new team that looks to be a slow building team. Going to be a long season.
Next game vs. #10 D-Lightning

16. (16) Kickback Cavaliers (0-84 Loss vs. Arlington Sandlot)

0-2 (0-0 vs. Top 5)

How do you get to rank #16? Easy, don’t score any points against your opponents and the spot is all yours. So far they have been outscored 0 - 170. We’ll see if they get 1 point against the Wolverines tonight.
Next game vs. #13 Wolverhampton Wolverines

Zeta Game of the Week-
#3 Gridiron Greats vs. #5 Chicagoo Bears. Let’s see if the Bears can run the ball against the Gridiron Greats very stout Defense..

This year we may/will have teams in and out of the top 5. The record vs. Top 5 teams will reflect your record vs. teams that were in the top 5 when you played them.

Nice write up (as always), these two are backwards though. I am pretty sure EuroTrash won.

Good call bro. I'll fix that. LOL

Also, I didn't see that you had a rankings already done when this was finished. I wasn't trying to step on your toes or anything as I know I missed the first couple of games with rankings.

Nice game Sportsfrk.
Out team is shattered right now. Guess it's time to regroup and get back on track.

Never underestimate chemistry, maybe that has a small thing to it.
You guys got a cupcake up coming up, but a great team after that.
Best of luck to you guys.

I would LOVE to disagree with where the Warriors are, but can't. Things just don't seem to be going our way this season. Gonna try to mix it up a bit, but may be too little too late for this season.
