I believe he, like many of us are tired of the game.
Wont go into the reasons as anyone here for longer than 2 seasons will know all about them, broken sim, player builds, free agency etc.

I think Greedy said it best. Our owner was really dedicated, but just couldn't keep up with it anymore. It seems like anyone who decides to buy a team and/or GM multiple teams burns out really quickly.
Strat (the owner) was pretty quiet at the of season 7 and then went MIA in the off season and beginning of season 8. He finally came back and asked us what we wanted to do. I would have loved to see what could have been this season, but I think most people (me included) just didn't trust that he would be around enough to make things right. It was a good opportunity for everyone to bring their players to teams that they felt comfortable with, so we decided to disband.

I was D-Co of 4 teams last season and almost quit myself. Its way too much to do. I have scaled back to the Headhunters only and its far more enjoyable again.

I wasn't so much that no one would step up, but the fact that the team had gone so long without hearing from our owner that most of the agents had gotten to their breaking point. Basically, our owner held all of the powers to sign, trade, release, and renegotiate contracts. If any of the GMs had those powers then the team would have been fine. By the time the team was resold there was so much unhappiness that whoever took over the team would have been left with more CPU players than human players.
