(I'm dumb I messed up thread title. Week 3: Lion Predictions)

Last Week: 5-2
This Season: 5-2

Glad a few of you liked my predictions. I know they arent the best but I tried. It's good practice for me since I plan on doing it next season for my s9 expansion team forum.

Ethiopian Starvin' Marvins 2-0 @ Katanga Diamonds 2-0 (correct)

Katanga Diamonds had last week off being matched up against the CPU'd Headhunters. The Marvins made it seem like they were on a vacation of their own, toying and evidently dominating their matchup with Bandits. Lion division will knock off another undefeated team with these two monsters clashing. Katanga's lack of depth will be their downfall however, as the Marvins should set the pace early and never look back improving to 3-0 and remaining the number one team in the Lion conference.

Final score: 45-10

Band of Brothers 2-0 @ Gabon Forest Dragons 1-1 (correct)

How convenient to have the two teams that upset my picks last week play each other this week lol. This matchup could go either way, honestly a coin toss. Gabon Forest Dragons are probably the most underrated team in the entire league and should never be taken lightly. BoB will fight right through to the forth quarter, but will fall short by a fieldgoal.

Final score: 30-27

Freetown Palookas 1-1 @ Red Sea Wave 2-0 (correct)

Red Sea Wave has been hot lately, very hot. They are currently sitting on their throne atop a streak of 17 games with a fresh golden trophy in their pocket. Palookas are one of the few teams that have what it takes to dethrone the kings. In fact, they were one of the only two teams that were able to taint sure perfection for RSW in season 7. I really like Freetown's defense, but I like RSW's offense even more. Freetown will keep it close, but the wave of wins will continue for Red Sea. Pun intended (:

Final score: 44-31

Beltway Bandits 0-2 @ Barbary Coast Pirates 1-1 (incorrect)

Although the levels and the matchup seem to want to indicate that the Bandits are the favorites in this matchup, I can't help but get over their 6 points through the first two weeks. Granted the two loses came to tough opponents, the problems must be somewhere in the AI. Barbary Coast had a hard fought win last week and I am picking them as my underdog winner in the same fashion in week 3.

Final Score: 20-10

The Nile Denial 1-1 @ Kenya Naturals 1-1 (incorrect)

Coming off a lose of a touchdown or less can be an absolute confidence killer for a team. This was the case for both of these possible playoff contenders in week 2. The Denial have a higher overall rating, but the Naturals might just be a better overall team. Hopefully this will be a high scoring showdown so I can learn more about them and have some more info for their matchups in week 4. (:

Final score: 21-13

Kingdom of Congo Dirty Apes 0-2 @ Charlie Don't Surf 0-2 (correct)

Slow starts at 0-2 for both these teams. CDS is averaging around 90 points against a game, and that was against two teams that at first glance you would expect them to go toe to toe with. The Apes on the other hand have put up more of a fight, also against some tough competition. From what has been shown thus far, not much should be expected from CDS, where as the Ape have true potential and should be fighting for a playoff spot. True class on and off the field, I see the Apes taking this one and breaking their season goose egg.

Final Score: 38-10

West Nile Virus 0-2 @ Cape Verde Headhunters 0-2 (correct)

Vacation time for West Nile and a perfect chance to get a win and a piece of their dignity back. Maybe they can turn that over to week 4 and give Katanga a run for their money.

Final Score: 185-0

Fort Wayne Generals 0-2 @ Port Harcourt Playmakers 2-0

GLHF. <3 you guys.

Best of luck to everyone this week. No hard feelings to those projected to lose.

Weekly score: 5-2

Kenya Naturals are going down, nothing worse then playing the Nile after a rough lose.

I turned off the AI for the scrimmages.... forgot to recheck the f'ing box.... That explains our 6 points....
