1. (0) Wurzburg Minions-of-Zeus 2-0

There is a pretty clear gap between the top 5 or 6 teams, the next couple and then the bottom half of the league. The gap between the newly named Minions-of-Zeus and the rest of the hopefuls was set this week at 45. The Wurzburg machine kept on rolling this week, amassing 663.5 yards of total offense. Eye Ooze is doing his best to embarrass secondaries of WE BBB 14 as he has racked up 339 yards and 7 TD's in his first two games. I expect to see similar numbers from the WR and the rest of the Minions as they take on Nashua this week. Expect a massacre.

2. (+1) Jersey Mammoths 2-0

The Mammoths cruised to their second win against the lowly Colts. They came into Indy and pounded the ball on the ground. Both of their running backs had 140+ yards and 3 TDs. The most impressive stat of the game was the 6 punts that their PR Ronald Belford took to the house. It was a strong showing by Jersey as they gear up for the Sharks this week. One of the marquee match-ups of the season, this early game will have large implications on the eventual playoff seeding. Stay tuned.

3. (+1) Indianapolis Stampede 2-0

Two games and two wins by big margins. Don't expect things to change much this week as the Stampede look to head into LAZER and deal the LIGERS their 35 straight loss. It will be another 150+ point win for the Stampede as they continue to cruise through the cupcakes at the beginning of their schedule. Not much gameplanning is going to be needed over the next few weeks, so I hope the GM's in Indianapolis are enjoying their vacation.

4. (-2) Mannheim Sharks Profi 1-1

When you consider how large of a talent gap their is between the Sharks and Wurzburg, the Sharks 45 points loss is somewhat impressive. If nothing else the standard has been set, the Sharks are still a top 5 team in Zeta and the rest of the conference has a way to measure their relative success against Wurzburg. The key for the Sharks will be to avoid a losing streak this week as they take on Jersey. They need to figure out what went wrong this week and turn that around against a more evenly matched team in week 3.

5. (0) Madrid Matadors 2-0

Big win by the Matadors as they demonstrated some improvement between week 1 and week 2. Beating the Pride by 31 after beating a similarly rated team by only 3 in week 1 is a nice sign for these championship hopefuls. The competition is significantly weaker in weeks 3 and 4 as they take on the hapless Thunder and the lowly Red Dwarfs. Things get a little tougher in week 5 though as they get their second big test against Budapest.

6. (0) Budapest Tizenhetedikkerület 2-0

Another win against another crappy team. Once again though, they gave up more points than they should have. London was able to put up 24 points even though they were severely out-leveled. Budapest is going to need to take a look at their defense if they want to contend in this league. We'll see if their deficiencies will come back to bite them this week as they take on the plucky Hellboys.

7. (+1) Natal Hellboys 2-0

Nice win for the Hellboys as they try to pick up some easy ones early. They have a big test in week three though as they take on Budapest. It will be a good sign to see if they have arrived as a playoff team or still have a ways to go before that is a reality. Levels don't mean much unless you combine them with game-planning as well as proper building and we might see that very clearly if Natal can stretch out their win streak to 3.

8. (-1) Nashua Pride 1-1

Tough loss for Nashua. They have yet to beat the Matadors in their three meetings. The Pride still have strides to make but seem to be stuck in the same gear since season 1. We'll see if they can hang on to this 8th spot. This week there isn't much hope as they are going to get crushed by Wurzburg.
