Although I'm no longer in this league I thought it was quite funny that my level 5 WR who I was super slow building on my team last season managed to get an endorsement from this league, despite never actually playing a game here but just training all season!:

Wow, very odd. I thought endorsements were tied to fame.

You can't even tell what endorsements players have by looking at their profiles/equipment... lame.

I had one (schmoe, backup / special teams) guy get an endorsement, but we were in SEA A #8 last season. If you're curious, his endorsement (and I got a good laugh out of it, he's a DE):

Its a fucking joke. Most of the endorsements in our league went to guys no longer in it or to guys with crappy stats that would never get an endorsement in real life. I know its a random thing so its MEANT to work that way but its a shitty system. Breaking it down by position (and not just DE I mean RDE and LDE etc) would help as would basing it on stats.

Yea, but you could have a guy on a shitty team that the owner just runs the ball every play and his stats could be through the roof. Or maybe a punter on a shitty team that has 20 punts a game. He might suck at punting, but leads the league in yardage.

That would be the case if you based it off of pure counting stats. If you used some sort of formula which based things off of averages etc. it would work much better. The way it is just now our TE who has been by far the best TE in AA4 (and in some seasons the best receiver full stop) has as much chance as some guy who has high fame because hes played a tonne of games on special teams but has crappy stats.

Yup. One guy on another team i am on said he got endorsements with a player that was on the roster but never played a snap due to slow building.

Or how about a level 33 WR on a team full of level 4s or lower cough, cough, Danang, Danang.


Gratz Visc. Good to know that our receiving corp was so solid last year that they passed over all of us for the level 5 bench warmer.

Or just simply make it so no player under/over the league suggested level gets an endorsement.

Looks like Bort and co. spent more time working on humorous endorsements than actually coding them correctly. I'd like to see the agents in the league vote on who deserves each endorsement at the end of each season, unfortunately, the possibility for abuse would ruin this.

The endorsements are a joke - do it right or don't do it at all Bort. This may be the week Bort needs to seriously consider quitting his glue sniffing habit...

in SEA8 ... there were 4 back ups on my team who won an endorsement. for example our TE with 7 catches on the season won the award. there were like 3 TE's in out conference alone with over 1300 yards receiving. kind lame how they pick the winners. bort should let players vote on the winners.
