This is the thread where Bort talks about grandfathering:

The question that remains to be answered, unless one of you knows where the answer was given, is when is the grandfathering cut-off date? Was it when he made the initial announcement about this whole thing during season 7? Was it when he posted this about grandfathering? Was it the start of season 8?

I would say the day he made this post is when it started.

Nope.

Everyone is grandfathered at this point. It's only new signings that have to watch where they are going. If you stick with your team, you will never have to even think about it.

Also, the levels were updated tonight, and will update every night automatically.

I want to start this post by saying that I hate the Patriots more than I hate any organization in sports; I take every opportunity to laugh @them, mock them, and rip on their fans. But this guy was just putting out a post and trying to let people know about a new twist to the game that Bort implemented. Not everyone is aware of this for VXP. The immediate reaction is, "This is clearly an attempt to trick me into trading off my high-level talent." I hope that's not what he was doing...I certainly didn't take it that way. I just don't think the game gets any better when ppl are treated this way after trying to share information.

If you have a lot of high-level talent, you're probably on pace for a promotion to the A-league and your players will likely want to stick it out even if they lose some VXP. But the agent should at least be aware of the situation (if they are new signings). The guy was trying to be a decent person and share info about the game.

I really can't believe how many angry, irrational, aggressive people are on this site.

yeah agreed plus who wants to get rid of their top talent just for a few vp??
