Warrior General Games

In attempt to increase the participation, interest, and overall quality of the rankings I am making the following changes to the coaches poll..

-there will only be 5 polls that will be submitted: preseason (will serve mostly as a trial run for the new teams), between games 4/5, between games 8/9, between games 12/13, and then a final poll following game 16 before playoffs start.

-a set time submissions are due: before the start of the next game (ie after the preseason games the preseason poll submissions must be time stamped before the start of game 1.. the next poll before the start of game 5... etc) This will give team reps a full 48 hours to submit a ranking and a consistent deadline to which these submissions are due.

-I will ask team reps to rank all 32 teams... since there will only be 5 polls and a guaranteed full 48 hours to submit I dont think this should be a problem. This will give us the most accurate representation of how our peers perceive each team. It will also include all the teams in the rankings and will hopefully encourage the teams at the bottom to participate.

How about a week ending poll like college basketball instead of 4 polls. Votes due in on morning of every Sunday with poll results Sunday evening.

Either way I am in as a rep of Osaka Buckeyes.

That would produce essentially the same amount of polls... 3 games one week then a poll (mon, weds, fri) and 4 games and a poll the next (sun, tues, thurs, sat). Also it would give teams less time to submit (after fridays game less than 48 hrs... less than 24 hours after sats game). The plan is to wait after games 1-4 then submit between 4 and 5... etc... so we have everyone voting using the same information.

ETA: glad to have a team rep for Osaka!!!

Just a suggestion as voting will be more popular if submitted on a weekend than on say a Tuesday.
