Against us next season. We've decided to rebuild, and while the decision was a tough one - we did do pretty well our first two seasons - the interest waned for all of us.

Not to mention the ability to create new builds that are head and shoulders above any current builds... well, it wound up being a no brainer.

So enjoy your wins, western conference.

And for the record; all the players/agents and ownership is all the same. I'm not selling or gutting.

Cut/trade all the guys; they all build another guy or four, and we swap out the players. The team is almost exactly the same, I just cut a lot of dead weight/non-posting/inactive guys, and the good ones remain.

May not be too late to request demotions....you'll both probably end up demoted next offseason anyway...why not try to let someone else come up this season.

Bort said he wasn't doing demotions; if I ask for one, I lose all my cash and stadium. Also, from what I hear there weren't enough teams to relegate all the way up with all the sales this season in USA PRo.

A 9-7 team in USA got relegated up this year to AAA; that should tell you something.

I have seen responses from support saying they do not do further demotions after day 42, period.

Wow, i didn't really realize how bad the sell outs were getting. Sounds like the issues are finally taking their toll and mass losses of older players are finally occurring. I know 2 teams i was on folded last offseason from owner burnout / upcoming loss of players that were leaving the game.

Wonder if half of us will advance to AA next season...

I think you're also starting to see the effects of 1st wave vs 2nd wave builds as teams trickle higher. In another season or two, those teams built with the "stuff you wish you knew then" will be stronger and better organized than many of the original teams that have gotten by with piecemeal recruiting, etc. 'Twill be interesting...

This is what we're doing; figured it be easier at least for a while to get wins. I've already seen a huge difference in the team that did this last season; they're in BBB beating A teams regularly.

So true. That's the main reason I'm so critical of my team, because we're mostly "1st wave" players. We joke about it, the 'if I knew then what I know now' aspect of this game. We're in the process of retooling the Wolves - not through a burn it down and rebuild it deal, but starting new players while the existing guys get old thing - but so many of the guys are like "I want to do the same position I have now, because this time I'll do it so much better. It's funny, the guys are kinda psyched about it because we've learned so much. When season 10 is over and our original players start decaying, we should have guys ready to step in and hopefully preform at a similar level just due to better builds. The Wolves agents are building something like 32 new players once season 8 starts, and I think the guys are more interested in the new players than in what we have on the roster right now .....

That's about the point I was at with Death Valley as well. The problem there is that I just didn't have the agents to rebuild with. If you can do it with your current guys, you're golden. Otherwise you're in for a ton of work.

Yeah, I did it the way most of us had to initially - through whatever agents I could get to sign with me. I realized pretty quick that I wasn't real comfortable doing it that way, so I started recruiting friends and co-workers and then trimmed down the agents I didn't know personally. We took a step backwards at first, but the end result is much better I think. It's more fun at least on a social level, since it's another thing to talk about with the guys over a beer
