they should give us a trophy that says "runner up that should not have been moved up". They need to make it harder to get teams or something. 5 CPU teams in one conference is just ridiculous

Or maybe give the GM's the ability to buy the team at a discounted price before it goes CPU. (No idea if that's already possible, I'm clueless about team ownership). That would prevent agents from wholesale fleeing once they panic about the CPU tag.

GM's can buy the team for 1000 flex. It's a good deal most of the time if the previous owner built the stadium. If it's not then you will struggle and players will leave. I think they need to make it harder to get a team and also get rid of one. Put some monetary loss into the mix.

Why not allow GMs to buy the team at a discount. I understand they are always worried about every little penny they may give up by allowing discounts but allow a GM to buy it for 500-700 instead of 1K.
Or hey maybe a better idea would be to be fair to their customers. Say the owner had the team paid for the next 3 seasons, just transfer it to the GM for free since it has already been paid for...they still got their money, they really don't need that extra 1K to transfer it...

This ain't no communist society here, you can't get discounts for teams. Only way you can get discounts is by paying more money. It's Bort's business and until the money stops rolling in in large amounts, the method of payment will not change. Only when the Monthly Income charts start showing a sharp downward drop will prices decrease and will he start playing to the needs of the user
IMO, 1000 Flex is the amount of money to spend in which will entice low budget people who are addicted to the game, but once they realize that they can't handle recruitment, player management, GM management, and being able to win, they'll quit, and another person will come in and spend the additional 1000 Flex to get that team (which includes GM buyouts). If it's more money, then people are less likely to buy a team. If it's less money, there won't be much profit. So the middle line is the way to go. Like I said, it won't change until the money flow makes it change.

Oh trust me I understand that and get why he is doing it. Get what he can while he can because eventually he will have to cave to customers or shut GLB down.
It would be nice if there was a screening process to buy a team but I doubt that will ever happen or ever work right anyways.
