Commentary
1) So, what is up with Cook Island? Basically, their win over BDC helps them to a ridiculous extend. It forms three separate Beatloops for them, getting rid of losses to the 'Nites, the Gangsters, and the Kava Sharks (BDC defeated all three of those teams). Now, the MTD win forms CIC=>MTD=>MUV=>CIC, blowing up CIC's last Beatloss (and hurting MTD and MUV in the process). Thus, without anyone to hold them down, they spring toward the top of the Rankings. Also, because they were able to loop all of their losses away through only one win, they are left with a lot more Beatwins than normal. With this inflating their BeatPower, CIC is able to get nearly to the top.

As always, please ask questions and point out anything that looks buggy!

Question for you. BDC has only 1 loss on the season (to CIC) and we've beaten every team that has beaten them, which I would assume would get rid of our loss to them in this system. Does the fact that we played the Dreadnoks in week 1 (who wound up disbanding and have only one win) really hurt BDC, since CIC played and beat PNGC in week 1? Especially given that BDC has 3 more wins.

Also, does this explain how BPN winds up ahead of BDC as well, despite the head to head loss and 1 more loss overall?

If BDC beats Voodoo, it'll push BDC over CIC I believe.

Wow, a 2 loss team is 3 spots below a 4 loss team that they beat. Did our loss against WSI loop away a lot of our beatwins?

Wow with TITs loss that may loop CCC out of the top 20.

WSI can't be involved in any Beatloops, since they don't lose to anyone.

TIT has looped all of their Beatlosses away, thus they sit in the first "tier". In fact, they are the last such team: the Heat have a Beatloss to BDC.

Your questions are basically answered in my commentary. In the same way the the CIC win over BDC loops away three Beatlosses for CIC, it also loops away three wins for BDC. That one loss keeps you from getting credit for beating the 'Nites, the Gangsters, AND VKS. Given that those are some pretty impressive wins for you, it's a pretty big hit. The fact that you're only 3 BeatPower out of 2nd place anyway is a testament to how good you are.

The less technical answer is that, as far as Beatpaths are concerned, the 'Nites, Convicts, BDC, Machine, and Ikale Tahi are almost exactly the same.
