No power rankings this week, I kinda covered 2 with this last one, but lets compare how I did.
My First Ranking when basically I didnt scout just took about a 10 second glance, cut me some slack here, for I was from A1 last season and unfamilar with most.
1) Samoa - Got that right
2) Micronesia - Got that right
3) Cleveland - Right Again
4) Wollongong - Yeap right again
5) Sidney - Way wrong on that pick
6) Melbourne - Will make the playoffs
7) Hamilton - Will make the playoffs
8) Sack - Wrong
So I got the first 4 dead on, and the 2 of the last 4 right in playoff spots, 6 of 8 aint bad for a quick guess, not to mention getting the top 4 spots dead on. (pending the Hamilton Vs Wollongong game)
The teams that proved me wrong and ended up being better then i expected
1) Hawaii
2) Auckland
The teams that ended up being worse then I thought
1) Sidney
2) Sack
Playoffs is Probably going to look like this
1) Samoa
Vs
8) Melbourne

Samoa not sure how to call it, Samoa without game planning got exposed by Hawaii. I hope they take their first game seriously. Samoa has been on cruise control all season after early wins against the tougher teams. Micronisa played them close but Samoa's defense can be sufficating. I just wish King would delete that female avatar on his stud running back, it was embarassing having a chick run it down our throats all season....
Melbourne had a tough start but managed some impressive win over Hawaii, infact blew them out badly, which really suprised many. They have upset potential but going against the powerhouse in Samoa is going to curb any prayers they have of advancement.
2) Micronesia

7) Auckland

Micronesia in a low scoring affair.
Micronesia was just as powerful and dominating in AA1 this year as they were in A1 last season. They remind me alot of the Ravens, Steelers, and Titans in the NFL. They don't win pretty and they sufficate you with defense untill surrender. Their impressive 65-0 win over the Hawaii Phoenixes really was a display of their talent. A stout running game to boot, I think Micro has a real shot at the Zeta championship.
Auckland on the other hand faired much better then my expectation, I remember when we got promoted we has maybe 2-3 guys over level 30 and were still a 48 overall, one of only 2 teams to don this distinction. (Syndey Sharks the other) Their best game was the 20-6 defensive destruction of Melbourne who beat teams sitting higher then Auckland.
3) Cleveland

Now this will be a decent game but look for Cleveland to come out on top,
Hawaii has shown some flahes of brilliance and able to win some close games, I would put this game on upset watch, but wouldn't cross my fingers.
Cleveland has shown some dominance this season, only a close loss to Micronesia kept them from number 2. Watch out for this team to do some damage deeper in the playoffs, but don't look past Hawaii they wont win it, but they have upset potential.
4) Wollongong
Vs
5) Hamilton

These teams may flip flop after the last game of the season, but it wont effect the playoff match ups. I like Wollongong in this one because of some holes Hamilton has, while going against lower level teams with mid 40's defenders, Hamilton abused the recently promoted and bottom tiered teams, but struggled some against equal talent. Wollongong's offense is suspect, only mustering two 4th quarter TD's against Auckland who was outleveled, but a very stout defense with a good pass rush against slower tackles.
