First things first--thanks for disclosing a few of your players' builds to the rest of us in the conference.

Secondly, quit your bitching. Aside from the following replay, the longest gain we gave up in the 2nd half while on "cruise control" was 9.5 yards:

On this play do you hear me bitching about how my CB didn't even attempt a tackle on the HB? No. Instead I go to myself, "what the hell do i have a SS blitzing against shotgun-3 in that situation for?"

::goes and checks the AI::

Oh, yeah--old setting from another game. No biggie. Fixed.

In short, you can whine and cry and bitch and moan all you want to, but at the end of the day your boys still have to play defense, merenoise. You guys DO have the best defense in the league, remember?

High vision OLB charges after the QB well after the handoff.

maybe that's as quick as he can cut with cruise control agi?

EDIT: Admittedly I don't watch replays of blowout games, I'm referring more to the STATISTICAL realism that results from these games. I have no knowledge of what your 110 speed WR looks like on film next to a lower-leveled CB who is covering him, just as you have no knowledge of what that CB's speed is (unless his build is open).

the first is against an ok team, the second is against a great team that went undefeated in a VERY competitive conference. he's very very fast and he looks very very fast even against top level 100 speed cbs

this is what happens during cruise control:

green goblin (http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=1182464) bit on a pump fake, stopped COMPLETELY, began accelerating again with his 23 agi, and was still almost in position to make a tackle. he's level 10 with 32 speed now, but i distinctly remember he was level 4 when we played and had maybe 20-22 speed. without giving away anything that isn't completely obvious, riley has WELL over 100 speed (and i don't mean like 107 or anything like that) and a ton of first step

Lambda, what the fuck are you talking about? In every single one of those replays the CB is 6 yards away from him when he catches the ball, the only difference is the "cruise control" replay takes longer!

Look, we all know attributes are done on a diminishing curve--the difference between 30 and 40 speed equates to a much greater change in performance than 100 and 110 speed. He does this to trap morons who think the 4:1 and 5:1 softcaps are actually worth the points.

Bort doesn't want you guys to have 4000 offensive yards against these teams in one game, GTFO-I. That's right, GET THE FUCK OVER IT.

P.S.-Don't you two have playoff games to do scouting for?

that's also about the most extreme example you can find. it's a level 41 PURE speed wr going up against a level 4 cb that had only trained speed. he fell on his ass and broke his ankles on the pump fake and still almost made the tackle. you don't think it's a bit dumb that players perform better against players way better than them than against players way worse than them?

and no, we don't know that there is a difference between the gains from 30-40 and the gains from 100-110, because there's not. bort has said that there are no diminishing returns for stats above 100, and SAs only have something like that above 10 to prevent things like pump fake having a 100% chance of going off.

and yeah afk scouting 4 days for a team we beat by 40

What I am saying is that bad players should not out perform good players otherwise why even bother with the cupcake teams? I should have to spend more time figuring out how to neutralize Walt Payton than I have to spend defending a WR 7 levels lower than him at HB. Our defense shut down Payton and allowed the level 19 WR to run all over us because my offense scores too many points too quickly. Are you saying that your speed back is inferior to a level 19 WR?

Yes, Walt is inferior to a level 19 WR...don't try to shut him down, he's not worth scouting against! In fact, my entire team isn't worth it, I think you should just play us w/ your basic tactics turned on...

Neither of us believe that and that is why I hate cruise control in a nut shell. It unfairly penalizes teams for doing what they are supposed to be doing and inflates stats for builds that are inferior to the top threats in the league while doing so.
