Current standings with 1 round to go (3r through 6th place).
3 Amsterdam Panthers 12-3-0 W4
4 Helsinki Coyotes 11-4-0 W9
5 Quazi Phantoms 11-4-0 W4
6 Bonn Villains 11-4-0 W1
Next games.
3. Amsterdam Panthers vs 5. Quazi Phantoms
4. Helsinki Coyotes vs 13. San Marino Longhorns
6. Bonn Villains vs 1. Berlin Widowmakers
Now i expect Berlin to go for the perfect season so i don't see Bonn able to climb to 12-4.
But...
Helsinki should and must win from San Marino putting them at 12-4 also.
Now if Quazi wins it's last match against Amsterdam than we would have a 3 team tie at 12-4.
Amsterdam has won from Helsinki.
Helsinki has won from Quazi
So if Quazi wins from Amsterdam the first tie breaker rule is nullified right?
That would put us into the 2nd tiebreaker rule.
If there are more than 2 teams tied (same record), then it's based upon these factor in this order:
1. Number of head-to-head wins against the other tied teams with the same record.
2. Number of total points scored.
3. Number of total points allowed.
According to rule 2 Points scored we have the following numbers.
Amsterdam panthers 1057
Helsinki Coyotes 1006
Quazi Phantoms 918.
So my question is if Amsterdam looses from Quazi and the others win they would still retain the 3rd place right?
Helsinki would remain 4th and Quazi would remain 5th due to rule 2 of the tiebreaker.
(this off course assuming that the scoring difference stay's about the same....).
