My SS is at 206 already but I'm sure there's some roided out LB with more!

I don't know...but my LB has slaughtered his season high (he's currently 4th in Alpha), as well as his annual sack and interception already having been bagged. 2 more PDs and he matches his record for that as well.
That's not bad all round is it?

And to contrast, my CB and DE, who have both been Zeta Pro Bowlers, are having their worst ever years. Gotta love those code changes!

You must see that big numbers on defense, most of the times, indicate that your team has the ball less than it should. Usually the tackle leader and the guys up there are in teams that have a losing record and/or will not make the playoffs. In our league, just the 6th leader in tackles is in a team in the top 8.
Not to mess with you guys, but I would like to see other numbers than tackles. A lot of tackles is bad for me in terms of team.
Other defensive stats are kind of messed up, like sacks. Most of the times, the sack leaders had good games against dead teams or simply had more games against those kind of teams. 255-0 games with 20 sacks don't really say you are great, imo.
Int and FF imo are the coolest to follow, because they are a bit more balanced.

Those stats get just as inflated when your playing CPU or "slowbuild" teams as well. if you have a shitty WR the CB can take it every other time. and a strong LB or linemen will Force fumbles all day against a weaker oppponent.

I'd rather have the wins but at least I have something to cheer about. I know that tackles primarily in the front seven usually mean that I'm controlling the line of scrimmage and this usually translates to wins. Lower tackle stats usually means that I'm controlling the ball on offense as well. But since I'm gutting the team and going slow build next season, I'll take the dominating tackle stat!

i wasnt hatin'. i was more saying that i doubt a LB has most tackles. its probably a decent SS on a bad team.
